The "virus" What are your thoughts

This is going to get weird.

Going to Costco on Saturday for some prime strip steaks for a nice dinner with my pop and bro. Hope they are on sale? Got plenty of TP. Loaded up on non-perishable food two weeks ago. I went to 90% cash on 2/13. Guessing JB will be cancelled in Charlotte in April. That will suck.

Hang on tight.

The nice thing, for us at least, is Costco delivery. We're outside the same day delivery, but 2 day delivery is free if the order is over $75. We use it a lot. Walmart & the local grocery stores have something similar. We use the grocery delivery when traveling on the boat, too. Great to have it come right to the marina.

I was at a conference last week. The presenter had an interesting slide on pandemics. This was related to his economic outlook presentation. This slide put COVID-19 in prospective for me.
Rø or R-naught indicates the spread of the disease from one infected person.

I just had my first retirement community postpone the start of all work for fear that contractors will bring the bug into the complex....

I didn't question, I just reset a start date.

Exactly. Now, refresh my memory. Did we go bat chit crazy during the modern sars, mers, and ebola breakouts?

Now this is getting silly.... This is my condo association in Michigan.... so they will replace a high light bulb and get the corona virus but not a low bulb?... I think that's discrimination :)

"With confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan, we are implementing additional precautionary measures as it relates to interactions with our residents at our communities."

"Beginning today, maintenance teams will not be addressing non-essential work orders. These are work order requests such as light bulb changes, stopped-up toilets, and minor bi-fold door issues. We would appreciate if residents would attempt to unblock a toilet, before entering a maintenance request for a stopped-up toilet. For your safety, high ceiling fixtures needing light bulb replacement will be handled by our maintenance teams. If a bi-fold door has fallen off track, maintenance will mount the door, but if the knob has fallen off, please attempt to put the knob back in place."

Heads up.... I might be coming to you guys with questions on the complexities of bifold door knobs...

My daughter and a friend are in NYC this week on spring break to see some Broadway shows and staying in a Hostel. They just shut down Broadway. If there is one thing that can make this generally level-headed Dad nervous it's the idea of his 20 year old daughter in NYC in the middle of a degrading social situation. Fortunately her brother was in Atlantic City for work and offered to swing by. One phone call to AA and they will be home at 8:30 tonight. They say money can't buy happiness (I'm sure we all disagree) but it can sure buy piece of mind.

A team to change a high light bulb? What do they do, 1 guy hold the bulb and the rest make the world go around?

Nope.....I actually got H1N1......sucked. Missed work for a few days.

There’s an hour wait in my grocery store right now to get to the registers. And all the TP is cleared out. People are losing their minds.

Yep, same here in Eastern Ky, unreal.
We are not panicked , unfortunately it seems most are.
I just wonder if the big city’s will empty soon.
Unreal, but prepared.

Avon CT school district just shut for 2 weeks. My SIL is going to go bananas with her 3 kids at home.

Schools in central Indiana began closing one by one. Just got word our District is out until April 6th. Seems like a long time, however it's just a week and a day before spring break.

I’m going out just trying to get a couple of frozen pizzas in case we get locked in. Hope it’s not that bad.
