Just maid my first destination of the weekend fire island. Still very foggy out here half mile visibility at most. Safe travels to All. C u in the am

Very foggy. Was out blue fishing on a friends boat. I think all of the pilings are taken. Couldn't see clearly.

Sorry guys, we won't be there, at 0900 we were till socked in at Watch Hill. :smt089This sucks, I know it's clear at Jones Beach but it hasn't cleared east yet and I'm not dealing with Zach's Bay zoo at noon. My wife and friends were concerned I was going to leave in the fog so she's relieved. :smt018Take some pictures for me.

Brian, i agree with your decision. I was supposed to leave last night but was fogged in till this morning Im rafted up right now with Alex, Greg, Ben, and Ron. Were staying the night. Sorry you couldnt be here. Next time.

Hey all,

Sorry we didn't make it to Zach's bay. We ended up getting to Blue Water Yacht Club at around 12:30pm. We headed into Jones inlet around 11:30am Saturday and saw the F22 doing it show so we stopped prior to the second bridge and watched that and then just stayed at the club after we got there. Then today we left around 9:45am after the 45 minutes of rain and ended up on the other side of Jones Beach in alittle cover prior to that second bridge. So we got to see all the action from there. It was a zoo there so I can't imagine what Zach's bay was like. :) My kids loved it (F22 was awesome) so much we are going to make this an annual trip. Luckly the weather was nice in the atlantic Saturday morning and Sunday after 1pm. :)

i went to zachs bay both sat and sunday , hooked up with my regular crowd we had a raft up of 9 boats sat , and 11 on sunday , great time both days , hope everyone enjoyed the airshow

I missed meeting everyone, too. I was fogged in in Great River in Suffolk County on both Friday and Saturday morning, so I drove by car to my friend's boat in Lindenhurst so we wouldn't miss the show. My kids and I jumped on his boat in the Anchorage and got there in about 25 minutes. I waved to a bunch of you in a raft up when we pulled into Zach's with his 27' Chapparal that he beached. We'll try again next year!

That is good to hear. We arrived Friday night in the fog and pulled up anchor on Sat just as the Blue Angels arrived. We opted to stay inland to East Rockaway before heading out. It was around 3:30/4:00 Sat afternoon when we hit the ocean. We were treated to a stiff wind and a head sea all the way home. :smt021 Very uncomfortable ride. 14 to 15 knots and was launched out of the water at least 7 or 8 times. I loved the show, but hated the ride home. Will still do it again next year!

It was great meeting everyone. We had such a great time. The trip home Monday was pretty good. With just the light beam sea we made good time. Left Freeport at 5:10 and pulled in to Ossining at 7:10. We raced "The Beast" coming up the Hudson and just barely were able to pull ahead of it. I still give him the win since he had about 40 people on board.

Ben, we also had a blast , it was really nice meeting you and your family, sorry we didnt say goodbye i didnt want to disturb you. And your boat is both beautiful and fast ( non - Sea Ray) sorry had to say that , enjoy the rest of the summer and see you guys in Montauk!!!!!
