Per the pics, the top of the zipper that holds the handle on popped off. Can I just snap a new little cover on that holds the handle in place? Where can I get these? Not sure size but pretty big canvas zippers. The cover flew in the water but I have the handle. It will be tricky to have to put a whole new zipper... thanks. Other pic is what it's supposed to look like.

Not sure about the answer, but zipper pulls are really easy to replace.
There's a small metal "clip" that you remove, and the zipper comes right off.

You can just replace the zipper pull if that's all that is broken. From the picture its hard to tell if it is a #8 or #10 YKK Vislon zipper. To determine that you would need to count the # of teeth per inch.

The trick to replacing it is having to open the stops at both ends and then put the pull on and then close them again. For #10 zippers they make stainless clips that go over each of the last teeth on with side. Another option that I regular use is to melt the last two teeth together - if you can find an extra tooth you can snap it in and then melt that in.

If the rest of the zipper teeth are in good shape then this is the route to go. If there are missing or brittle teeth then it would be best to replace the zipper (or the entire piece)

Not all of them - many are either factory stops or melted ends to create the stop.
