Yeah, yeah, yeah... it looks like a sneaker

Awesome boat...good luck with it.

I love the look ... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this is by no means ugly!

See post #8 on this thread. Lol

But here's a pic from Sea Ray's "Model Archives"

Here is a good video on the 480MY.

I was on a 390 and was quite impressed. Either is on my short list. Unfortunately, more money is on my short list as well!

Passed a MY while I was out on Saturday, and I have to say for some reasson they look better in real life than in pictures.

I have a good freind with a 480My and he loves it. I think it's an 04 and he's nad no problems with the motors or anything else for that matter. It looks massive compared to other 48's and the interior space is great. Congrats!

yup...looks like a sneaker....
but it's Shaq's sneaker !!!
nice boat

Congrats and best wishes on all fronts. Being an AC guy, I think you made a great choice. Ran mine from the Sassafrass to Rock Hall in 5 to 6 footers with 40MPH gusts. It was a ride but it was always stable and felt safe at all times.

I hear you say you like the glass but that is exactly the only thing I don't want. I like the wind in my face. I want to be more out in the fresh air while I'm boating. Of course, less isenglase would be nice too. A friend with a Formula with glass says he can't see a thing when running at night because of the tint in the windows.

Agreed... I'm hoping that when I open that front slot window, open the side windows and the aft curtains and I should feel reasonably "outside". I don't really plan on running around all zippered up with the A/C on (only when it's really hot). That said, I am high risk for melanoma per family history, so I like the shade. I'm hoping this is a good compromise. I also like the idea of not having my paper charts blowing around while underway. But I'm old school that way.

Hey Tim
Sneaker, scmheaker. So what if it bobs like a wine cork in a swimming pool? As long as it has flat screen TVs you're good to go!
Best of luck with the remaining "process." Waiting for spring has never been more...irritable! ;-)

Don't forget the A/C, Wi-Fi, HD Satellite, Apple TV and the Margaritaville blender. And for the record, our friend Dom (God rest his soul) was a fan of the sneaker format too. So I'm just honoring Dom's wishes.
