I sheared off my clutch nut on my Lofrans project 1000 windlass. Looking to see if anyone has one they'll sell. Maybe you're parting out an old windlass or have 1 you no longer need

It pains me to say this, but I bet there are a ton of them here in Ft. Myers. I have no idea if the insurance companies part out the scrapped boats, or who they sell them to for parting out...

I just replaced ours -- Project 1500 -- with a new one from Imtra. Not inexpensive.

Interesting, the original said "Lock" with a counterclockwise arrow. The manual, which includes a picture on the cover, says to unlock clockwise "in the direction of the arrow." Can't happen.

New nut says "Unlock" and the arrow is clockwise. Ah.

Hey Chris

could the 1500 be different than the 1000 do you have a part number or link for website. See attached pic. I found one by the pattern for the handle input looks different. Thanks

Yours looks the same as our new replacement, and our Imtra invoice says "Clutch Nut, stainless steel, for Project 1000/1500, #1094." 1094 is the part number in the exploded drawing in the Project 1500 manual.

The "item number" in Imtra's invoice is LWPCN020.

It was $122.40 plus shipping and (maybe) sales tax, total $138.40 in my case.
