Would it be bad karma???

LMAO!:smt043 My gosh, I'm gone for a month and this is what I come back too....I take it there are a few people here right now who aren't out on their boats enough!

@Todd! HOLY CRAP! Somebody unleashed the lion!

FWIW, I don't wear panties, Commando is the only way to go!

...Can't we all just.....Get along?

GoFirstClass: If you half @$$ed it, then I don't see why you couldn't try for getting it done the right way a second time. (There is never enough time to do it right the first time, but always plenty of time to do it again?)

By way of a final post and (hopefully) to put this thread to bed, I just wanted to let you know that we did go ahead and get Beachcomber christened a second time. It was done this weekend at a yacht club here and involved a large crowd, the christening of several boats, and copious amounts of champagne.

Needless to say, a good time was had by all present.

Thanks to all of you for the material you posted that led to this rather stimulating debate. Who'd have ever guessed that a post about christening would lead to so much name calling and arguing?

If this thread was started in the wintertime it could of been a lot worse,

No, wintertime is boating season for me as well. We have great weather down here and can boat pretty much all year. I guess that is why so many Yankees retire down here in God's country or the Bible Belt as we are most known for by non southerners.

Just so ya'll didn't think I quit on the thread, I've been out on my boat for the last four days. Put about 150 miles, a couple anchorages, and marinas and had a great time at the Beaufort Water Festival with family & friends. For a time on St. Helena Sound I thought one of the mythical gods that ya'll speak of was raising their ugly head, but we prevailed. If you didn't boat this weekend, shame on you!

Good for you! Our YC does this every year too and always has a decent size crowd. Extra blessings can't hurt. I think you did the right thing.
