Would anyone want to take some Soldiers/Vets out on your boat this summer?

FC3 are you a lawyer? Or is anyone else here one? Would you like to review the document we have? Make changes? Make it stronger? I have no objection here. Just let me know if you'd like to see it.

I am not, but my brother is. However, it is my understanding that a hold harmless agreement isn't worth much. It's very easy to circumvent them and "prove" negligence. Hope y'all have a good personal liability policy of no less than $1m.

Best regards,
Frank

but what about liability indemnification? People who know nothing about boats can do some pretty dumb things, especially if they are trying to "help."
You're the Captain of your boat and you tell them what they can do and what they can't. Its that simple, :smt001

I am a member of the Tacoma Yacht Club and for the last 3 years that I have been a member (and I'm sure many previous years) we have a day cruise in coordination with the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce and supported by local businesses in the area. We load up 30 yachts with service men & women from Ft. Lewis (Army), McChord Base (Air force), Camp Murray (National Guard), Bangor Base (Navy) and the local Coast Guard. We load them on our boats and take them to one of our outstations about 1-2 hour cruise away. We have a big BBQ and thank them for their service to our country.....
It is the least we can do for these servicemen & women.

Frank you give great advice on the SR but you sure worry a lot . Do you ever leave your house. It only a boat ride. Not asking them to do anything but enjoy the ride and view.

It's not worry, I look for all the possible avenues that something could fault or fail. Then I fix the ones I can and try to minimize the risk for those I can't.

Too easy for someone, even after being told to never put hands or legs outside the boat to fend off a piling to actually try to fend off a piling without thinking. Then his hand gets crushed between a piling and a 11,000 pound (or lots more) boat.

Best regards,
Frank

I will only take out single service women. They must be between 5'0" and 5'9", weigh around 130 or less. I prefer a blonde, but will decide based on other features. They MUST feel comfortable in a thong and be willing to have a good time on the boat.

However, I did not see such a search feature on the website, so it must just be broken or waiting for an update?

Bill, I would be very careful, your first mate and service women may just take you for a ride then throw you overboard with a chain vest. (Grin)

Sorry, that was actually Amy's post.

I'm glad. I was waiting, hoping someone would say something after that because I just wasn't sure how to respond. But, who you accept to go with you of the people which respond to your offering is up to you. If they happen to be of certain gender or size or appearance, that is your call. The website will merely present you with guests wanting to go with you. Then you accept the people you feel you have a connection with.

Hope that satisfies both amy and chuck...

I am sorry, no actually I was just being an ass. It was my post. No one here takes me seriously at all, even when I am serious.

On that note, seriously, will any of them bring a bow mounted 50 cal gun to take out the bass boaters?

It's really ok, You probably wouldn't be surprised how many times i've been asked your original question. The system is built to account for those types of requests. It's just not something I try to advertise because we don't want to pass up deserving vet's for an attractive soldier of which I know there will be many.

As for the 50 cal, I have a mount on the front of my bow rail all ready to go for some salmon fishing...

If anyone needs help signing up for the memorial day event just call Branden 630-299-6999. The process is pretty simple once you understand it. It has recently come to my attention that somepeople have signed up for a user account and thought they were all signed up. There were just a couple more steps to do.
