The last I saw our boat was in October being pushed in to a non heated storage building until heated storage building was ready for boats. Now I would be lying to say I wasn't worried that a screw up leaving my boat in the unheated building not winterized. We went to see the boat and get the registration paper to get a new sticker. I feel better now that I know it's snugly sitting in the heated building right next to a 110 outlet so I'll be able to plug her in this early spring and for buffing. Another plus is she's in the front of the building up against the wall in the corner with enough room for waxing.

I saw my boat for the first time a couple weeks ago... Had two beers on it... Plugged it in to make sure everything was good... Talked to a couple of storage neighbors. Looking forward to starting projects in the new year.

Plenty of livin’ space down here in south Louisiana when you get tired of winter storaging your boats!
North Shore Lake Pontchatrain - Madisonville area is very nice.
Love to have you as neighbors.

This will sound weird but I actually like the winter lay-up. It gives me a chance to catch up on home projects without feeling guilty. Also being in heated storage I can go sit on the boat there which is almost as calming as sitting on the boat in the water.

Sort of like me sitting in mine in the evenings while it’s on the trailer at my house.
I actually understand that.

I saw mine about a week ago. Sailor and I went down to the boat to see if everything was good. Dock lines all good, temps inside the boat good at 45*.

I had to chuckle at Sailor. As we walked down the dock there were two ducks sitting comfortably at the edge of the dock. Sailor has never been hunted and doesn't really know he's a waterfowl dog. As we walked up toward the ducks he gave a little woof. They jumped off the dock into the water and just paddled a few feet away. He walked up to where they had been, looked at them, looked at me and gave Me a little woof. I don't think he knew what to make of them. That's one trick this old dog is not going to learn. Not from me, anyway.

Ours is in an underground cave. Once you put it there you aren't allowed to go back until after 1/1 for whatever reason. If you really need to they charge you a small fee. Anyway, I always go down the middle of January and swap out the Damp Rid buckets and check everything. After that don't see it until late March when we bring it home

Mine's sitting in the yard under a big blue tarp over a temporary wooden frame. I'm fixing to remove the arch, and hinge it. That's my main winter project.

I really loved my few years living in Tchefuncta Country Club Estates on the Tchefuncta River just north of you in the late 70's. I bet I wouldn't even recognize the area 40 years later! Covington, Madisonville, and Mandeville...what beautiful North Shore Communities!

Saw mine about a week ago, she's in indoor cold storage. Supposed to be in the upper 40s, hopefully 50 the day after Christmas. Might take a drive up and see if I can't get a project or two knocked out.

Next year will be indoor heated. I'll be driving myself stir crazy as I'm off for the holidays...

That's funny...I visited mine this past Saturday and am also in a corner right next to a 110V outlet. "Gobs of room" for waxing compared to what I'm used to.

Good times.

The downside...I thought for sure I left a few beers on my boat for my first trip out to clean her. Turns out I was wrong...ha.

I’d love to have indoor heated storage!
Mine is out in the cold and wrapped to the waterline.
At this point I would settle for a couple of unseasonably warm days so I could putter around under the shrinkwrap with less than 3 layers of clothes on.
