Anyone know where I can find wiring diagrams for a 1993 290

I am install a couple of new gauges ( angle and fuel monitor) and need to tie into some existing wires

Looking for the power on when igntion is turned on and the dimmer control to dim one

I presently do not have the batterys installed but could if I have to

Thanks

I don't know where you can find a wiring diagram. I have had to map my own out for my boat.
I am not quit sure what you are asking about. 12V hot can pulled off of the voltmeter, that is the input point which is then daisy chained to other instruments. The blue wire that you see on the gages is for the lighting.
Does this do you any good?

You can find your owners manual at Sea Ray dot com under customer support... most of them have the schematics in the back.

I finally got yours to download... no schematics, sorry.

Well I was trying to wire up a couple of new gauges - a fuel monitor and an angle gauge
I took my batteries off the boat for the winter and figured I would just check the wire diagrams to make sure I hook up correct.
I do have an owners manual but there's not much in the way of info about any wiring, I called a dealer and they don't have anything
I was told that the purple is "ign. hot when on" and was also looking for which wire to tie into for the dimmer. I think it's the blue one but not sure
I guess I will have to bring the batteries down, hook them up, trace out the wires and then bring them back home, not sure we are done with the cold just yet.
Thanks

I have ask the same question about the wire diagram. I don't think you will have any luck, what fuel monitors did yo go with? I'm looking at the lowance hds model's.

I went with the Faira . I have a single 7.4 so only needed one. it was one of the less expensive ones and so far pretty easy to install
the only thing is the wires are like 24 gauge so stripping and crimping was a ptia but I got it. still have to install the sensor.
they say you should install a filter inline before the sender so i had to find something that would work for me

Yes, the blue wire on your gauges is the power source from the dimmer for the lighting in the guages.
Purple is the ignition hot and should feed to the voltmeter. It also has a feed to the ignition alarm.

Here is another picture of other guages that better show the "blue" as the source for the lights and the purple 12V hot.

I got a little carried away last year when I replaced the dash panels, all of the breakers, some switches and the backlighting with LEDs:

WOW, nice work. Really clean re-work. I wish I had access to my dash from behind, would make life so much nicer.
