Woke up to a temperature reading of 10 deg. F at the house this morning. Coldest reading since the 2010-2011 winter. Went down to the marina to check on the boat since my first winter trying out a bilge heater. Engine room lowest temp reading was 48F. I figure the heater ran continuous all night and never made it to the 52F cut-off point since it never got down to the 40F turn-on point. Felt nice and comfortable in there as well as nice a comfortable in the canvas enclosed cockpit (since the sun was out). Cabin was the only real cold spot and I have all its systems winterized.
