Winter Solstice

I can't believe people bring their kids to watch that!
I was surprised by that too, but after watching the parade my attitude changed. The whole thing is about having fun, the end of winter, longer days, sunshine, etc. Nothing really sexual about it, and the participants ranged from about 10 years old to many senior citizens. Seattle is a very liberal city, and that attitude runs to their appreciation of fun events such as this one.

Lots of laughter, lots of cheering, many groups participating as a group with floats, etc. Most of those in the parade were not nude but were scantily dressed.

The whole event was much like any other parade....people having fun being in it and people having fun watching...except that many in the parade were nude or body painted. Many of the "finer specimens" wore neither clothing nor body paint.

Many pics of those on my 'puter. :smt038

Please be so kind as to inform the "finer specimens" that I am having a parade in the Atlantic Ocean off the Virginia coast on my boat on July 4th, 2011. Seating is limited, so they will have to apply now to be assured of having a spot at the parade.

The parade will consist of numerous laps around the deck of the boat with frequent stops in the Captain's Quarters for inspection. The dress code is the same as the dress code for the Winter Solstice.

January boat show
Sportsman show
Fur Rondy
Yukon Quest sled dog race
Iditiarod sled dog race
12 hours of day light (snow starts to melt Mid March)
Winter King salmon derby
Spring bear hunt in PWS (depending on snow melt on south facing mountians)
River ice out
River King fishing
Summer sockye run

The dress code is the same as the dress code for the Winter Solstice.

Y'all would end up with lots of body paint on the sheets. :smt089

I guess it would be worth washing the sheets, given how much fun you'd have getting the body paint the sheets.

:smt038 :smt038 :smt038 :smt038

By the way, I do have lots of other pics that are....how shall I say this....in more detail.
