Ahhhhhhh!

Winter solstice occurred today at 6:38pm EST. Now we add more daylight to each day.

This is my first get to point to make it through the winter.

Here is my list:
-Winter Solstice
-Boat Show in January
-Spring Break in Florida first week April
-Launch Pontoon (yes I said Pontoon) first week May
-Memorial Day Weekend
 
With days now getting longer, had to visit the Ray today.
 
For me it started in October.

Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
Superbowl
Valentines Day
Pitchers & Catchers
Uncover Boat
Baseball resumes
Prepwork
Go Boating
 
Fall Jeep ride?
Thanksgiving and X-mas
Where is the New Years party?
More winter
Tax time...
Get the boat out!
 
....and I thought I was the only one using "markers" to get through winter......good to know there are "others" out there :lol:

Boat goes to bed, then I look forward to

pheasant season
deer season -rifle

Florida for a few days
shrink wrap off
 
Close by Thanksgiving
holidays

get taxes done
receive refund--hopefully
first week of march--start working on raisers
end of march--LIGHT HER UP
renew insurance
bottom paint
April in the water

Yeah, still visit PDB but much doesn't happen there. I go to the other site (anti Obama) but don't post there.

I figured there are a bunch of hunters out there to tide their time.
 
I don't want to make you guys suffer any more than you already are, but we're headed to the boat today after my son and DIL leave. We're going to do a little cleanup from the Christmas boat parade, then head out for an hour or two. The next "cruise" is already planned and that will be New Year's Day for our annual NYD cruise to kick off the new year.

There are several milestone events/dates that we look forward to, but the main one is Seattle's "Solstice Day Parade". Happens every year and it's an event you don't want to miss.

The parade has several hundred participants, lasts about 2 hours, and as evidenced by all the families lining the parade route, a good time is had by all.

Going "Sky Clad" is a very big part of the celebration. Private Solstice parties lose the body paint and worship the return of the sun.
