Ok, so I need new seals for the windshield and side sliding windows of my 1999 Sea Ray 400 DB Sedan Bridge, The manual does not give the part number for the seals, just the whole assembly. Taylor Made makes them but will not talk to me because they have an agreement with Sea Ray that only their dealers can sell them. Good old Sea Ray dealers won't even talk to me about them because the boat is too old. (They say that they only support parts for boats up to three years old - good old Marine Max). Can anybody tell me the part numbers or where I can find them or where I can find someone or company that is actually in business to help customers and sell stuff to them???

I see you are from Rockport. I am from Merrickville and the boat is in Florida (we winter on it in Florida and the Bahamas). I wonder if I order it from Canada??? I have been trading emails with Taylor Made over the last few days and they are adamant that they can not sell me Sea Ray parts for my boat. Maybe things have changed???

I recently bought 55' of that same exterior trim for my '01 400DB. The Taylor Made part number is 8319400. You now can only order it through a Sea Ray dealer. I used my best charm on Taylor Made and there is a strictly followed contract between Sea Ray and Taylor Made that does not allow Taylor Made to knowingly sell the part to a Sea Ray owner. Here is the list of all their window trim part numbers and a link to a thread where we talk a bit about this. We get to the trim discussions at post #24 and on, including what I paid for it:

A dealer is a dealer. You don't have to use your Sea Ray dealer. I live in South Carolina and had Prince William Marina in Northern Virginia order it for me (Ok, I used to be a customer of theirs, so they knew me - but they will order parts for anyone). They handled everything. The looked up the correct part number, ordered it from Taylor Made, packaged it up and shipped it to me.
