Who has bought/sold on ebay?

I buy from ebay but never sell on there. I've heard way too many horror stories about paypal, and don't want to deal with personal checks/money orders. I like Craigslist, but it's got it's own breed of annoying buyers. "I don't have the $500 you're asking for your guitar amp. Will you take $150, a 1988 Ford Taurus wagon missing the rear hatch with a blown engine, and a six pack of PBR? Also will you deliver it to my house that's 3 hours away for free? I see a ladder in the background, will you throw that in?"

I don't give the option to e-mail to many scammers now I post a cell phone number that way you know they are truly intrested.

I bought a 1985 sea ray on ebay, the pictures he showed did not show the true condition of the boat. I was disappointed when I say it. It needed a lot of work to clean it up which I am still working on it. I know you are asking about selling on ebay all I can say is do a good job of showing the boat with pictures and if anything is wrong tell them. good luck

craigslist is the way to go for big stuff. I search CL often for deals with this search engine - http://www2.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi - ( also brings in ebay) so that I can search many locations at once. Found my current boat this way as well as the two Glastron GT 150's I had this last summer. Plan to sell the GT 150 on CL this coming spring. Sure, there are scammers with both methods. At CL is free. I tend to not be so nice in my replies to suspected scammers. They never reply to correct my rudeness.
