Whistling on Radio

Does anyone know what causes the Whistleing on Am reception ?? I'm assuming a lousy connection or a bad ground. It's the standard Sea Ray upgraded Clarion system??

I didn't have AM reception on the 340, and I don't have it on the 410...just a loud buzz. With engines ON or OFF...

I have static and am told the amp is the first place to start. I haven't had time yet but when I do I am going to ck the amp.

Does it happen when the engines are off? If so, Sandy caused it... Add it to growing list of supplemental claims... If it is only when your engines are on, it is probably a ground issue...
