I have a 2008 330 with 8.1 v-drives and DTS and I want to add an autopilot. The chartplotter is a Raymarine C80 with 2kw radar. I've never had an autopilot before so I'm looking for any info that would help me make the right decision. I'm just now beginning my research so assume that my knowledge level with autopilots is very low. Thanks in advance

Is the DTS system fly-by-wire, or hydraulic or what?

Fly by wire systems do not generally need an autopilot pump. Raymarine and Simrad both offer a system that will tie into your Volvo system via nmea2000, although it is a proprietary plug. I would suggest calling those two manufacturers for firther advice.
