When are you splashing?

She's getting wax now and I'm scheduled to pick her up next Saturday March 12th.

I replaced:

  • zincs
  • engine oil
  • fuel filters
  • air filters
  • coolant
  • fiberglass repaired (scratches from previous owner)
  • bottom paint
  • wax
  • new curtains
I will replace all the belts, tranny oil, and thermostats in a couple of weeks.

Since you boat in the BB, maybe you can join or gang at one over our raft-ups this summer... We often meet a the Governor's Cut on the North side of IBSP... We also like to go to High Bar Harbor to anchor as well...

That sounds great thanks for the invite. That would be great to meet some fellow CSR members. We usaully hook up at tices here's a pic from last year record tie up for us, total of the day was 13 boats.

Monday!!! March 7th. I am only awaiting delivery. All service was complete already, all accessories were installed and detailing was completed. Now I just need it to get from Alabama to Knoxville. :smt013

I'm taking 3/21 - 3/25 off to unwrap her and get the big stuff done. The marina "opens" 4/1, and I'm going for a ride as soon as they warm up the forklift. :smt038

I'll finish any other work that needs to be done during the 1st 2 weeks of April - between cruises. That is one nice thing about being in dry stack. You can do maintenance anytime you want.

April 22 or thereabouts. It's killing me, bought my first boat end of last season and basically having to wait until spring to use it.

Looks like lots of cleaning and mostly minor repairs, previous owner neglected some things. New ladder clasp, broken hose clamps, fix canvas neglect. Water inlet just sprays water all over everything. Little stuff like that.

The weird one is my 2008 310 cabin door needs track repairs. Isn't that a bit soon for it to be broken? Can I claim it is a defect and get them to warranty repair it?

Door feels like dragging 100lbs over sandpaper.

Rich, do a search as I seem to remember some discussion about this issue.

Fri-Apr-22 ice shanties or not. :smt043
It doesn't happen as often anymore, since they are now fined(they are now req'd to have contact info on the shanty), but I remember in the past(maybe 40 yrs ago) seeing huge ice floes go by with a shanty still on them unfortunately.

Don't forget impellers in mains and genset. When you listed zincs, I assume you mean the engine zincs and as a reminder, the genset also has one zinc.

Is she being delivered to TN on Monday?

I'm hoping for April 16th, if the ice is out. I'll clean er up real good first part of April, so she's all ready by ice out!

Where do you boat?

I am a St Croix River boater, due to the predicted spring flooding, it will likely be a very late start to the boating season on the river.

Jon, the boat stays in all year. It has been too cold to work on the floors but with a little luck I may finish by the end of this month.

Contingent on trucking and the new marina being available/open, I plan to splash on April 15th.

My winter projects:
-Finished buffing and polishing the boat today in storage
-Need to finish cleaning and protecting my Strataglass
-Tested my Xtreme bilge heater today in 35 degree weather to make sure it will worked properly which it did
-Install new TaylorMade Fender Baskets

Marina (current) work:
-Bottom painted the boat completed
-Props are out to have the pitch adjusted and scanned
-Antifreeze (FWC) has to be changed in both engines and genny
-Zinc(s) needs to be changed on genny
-fuel filters need to be changed

New Marina work by Skipper Bud's:
-System monitor needs to be checked for ground or replace unit
-Air temperature sensor needs to be connected and check since it sets off Smartcraft Alarm
