This isn't about party line, as I know plenty of "Liberals" who are offended in the holiday nomenclature. The problem is a heart condition that is ungrateful to tradition, religion, and heritage. Folks try to define their being through their much chest pounding in the name of political correctness and neutral religious stance.
If you don’t believe on God or your faith is counter to the traditions of the day then refuse to take the day off that people of faith are providing you. Work to get a day off in the name of your faith and we will work while you are off. I would have no problem working through Hanukkah so a Jewish friend could have off.
Please don’t tell me that “holiday” represents all faiths. Thanksgiving is to give thanks to a gracious God for allowing us to be a part of this great country. Christmas is exactly that. A day of Mass for the birth of Christ. If you are not into either then don’t celebrate it. Take the day off you don’t deserve and shut up.
And BTW it’s in MHO.
