I enjoy Bob Marley. But 14 hours of the same cd is too much. my dock neighbor left his music on so loud i can hear it in my stateroom. i dont think he is there, and i haven't met him yet (new guy)...

wwyd?

I'd shut it off, then tell him when you see him.

Call the dock master and have them turn it off.

Bob Marley for 14 hrs? I think a few shotgun blasts right below the water line should do it.

This may be the best answer. I saw the marina manager around 7:30am, who boarded the guy's boat and turned it off. 10 minutes later it was back on. I don't think I'm about to make a new friend...

Sounds like there is something wrong with the player so its not likely something he did on purpose. A good laugh about it could mean the start of a good relationship. Just a thought.

I hope that it is something innocent like that. Good advice, I'll start with that in mind and work up to the other suggestion...

just get the marina manager to put in a CD that you like next time:grin:

Two Peas,
If the manager turned it off how did it get turned back on? Was the owner there when the manager entered the boat? If so it sounds like you may have a hill to climb in building this relationship.

We were in VA Beach last summer and had the same thing happen as we didn't see anyone on board. The next morning the marina manager apologized and said they had some problems before with someone else's remote turning the boat's cd player on.

Next time we will take more offensive measures.

Go for a swim and remove the plug - then the sound of the bilge pumps running might drown out the sound of Bob Marley - maybe not - but you might feel better!
