Its getting that time and im shopping for some things I need and a antifreeze jug is one of them. Can anyone tell me about this one? It looks like your standard jug,but it looks like there is 2 spouts on it?

From the pic it looks like water line is hooked up on one and the clear tube on the other?
It seems to be a good price, but not sure if its the right one for me,I emailed the guy a couple of days ago and no response,so just wondering if anyone here could help,Thanks!

It looks like there is a ball valve that allows you to switch from water to anti-freeze. You run the engine on the water until your thermostat opens and then switch it over to anti-freeze until the 5 gallons are used up.

I have this very winterizing jug setup. It's great. I love the valve feature for the reason above...I can run on water until I'm ready to start flowing antifreeze, then simply open the valve and let the antifreeze start flowing. Works great.

Should you not drain all of the water out of the engine using the engine drain plugs prior to putting anti freeze in it? How do you know that there is not a mixture of anti freeze and water in areas that are diluted too much?

Thats the trouble with it, You don`t Know
But if you persist in using that system you must drain everything first and the next question is
How did you completely fog the motor untill it stalled???????
How do you know the thermostat was opened and all the water replaced with anti-freeze????

Good point....Another thing to note is air doesn't freeze....all it takes is for that t-stat to close just enough and wammo you are not protected.
Drain all the water first and if concerned with corrosion, then backfill with antifreeze through the hoses or on a jug through the muffs AFTER DRAINING......Thats my two cents.
