What does Shrink Wrapping cost you?

$69 for a blue tarp (harbourfreight.com), about 16 golf balls, two saw horses, tw0-2by4's and a roll of 3/8 rope.

works like a champ.

The marina i will store it at does not allow us to do our own shrink wrap and for my 28-foot it would cost $19 a foot.

I am really going to make people feel better. I paid $1300 to wrap a 370DA, total. There was a $85 charge for removing my canvas, $75 door and vents, $85 for the arch! After many complaints I was issued a $185 credit. :smt021

I just asked a friend here in Stamford CT.
40 Dancer.....$1700.00.....Ouch!

Just got my bill, $1000; $20/ft plus $50 for the door. Spring can't get here soon enough to cut that baby open.

I shrunk wrapped my boat for 10 year prior to finally getting tired of the inflated prices. I purchased a Ripack heat gun and all the materials and wrapped 4 25-27 ft boats last year. It's dead easy. It took about 4 hrs per boat and we built all the framing from scratch. The gun was a little expense but I had 4 people go in so this year the cost of the gun and all the material was equal to the marina (plus we have material to do 1 or 2 boats next year), next year, around $100.00. Just check with your marina and see if they will let you wrap your own boat. Everyone should give it a try. It is amazing.
