Hey Guys I'm Looking at buying 360 Dancer 2002 any thoughts Pro/Cons Thanks for your input in advance !!

The 360DA is a good boat. Friends have one and it's a great weekend boat and they have spent a good solid week at a time on theirs. It has plenty of room and has most everything our 410 has short of the 2nd head.

The 360 is a great boat... But if you plan to travel long distances, I would go with a 410 with diesels... There are a few 360s with diesels, but not many, and they usually cost as much a 410... Expect about .7 m/gal at best... The 410 get more the 1 mi/gal and diesel cost less....

About the only knock on the 360DA is that it is an in between sized boat, and that affects its resale value. It is too big to dry stack in almost every situation, yet small for one that stays in the water all the time. But, this is a location specific issue. Around here there is always the worry about storms and storm surges so keeping a boat in the water is more of a challenge. If a buyer is up for the added cost and challenges of managing a boat in the water, they usually buy a 38' + sized boat. No barn in this area can handle the 360, so as a result the 360 isn't popular and doesn't sell well. I also have friends who have a 360DA, one gas and one diesel. Both love them. Think of it like a 340DA on steroids.

I like the 360 myself too . It has just a little more room than a 340 and a more accessible engine compartment . I know the 380 is a little too heavy for gas engines and its a fully cored hull ! Not sure I want that ? Maybe one day i'll sell mine and get one . Hmm . . .

Don't know where you are getting your information, but the older 380DA is a solid hull boat made in Merritt Island...........which was always a solid hull plant. Also, the 380 does quite well with gas engines.......they just love gas.

As far as I know . . . the 380 is a fully cored hull ! And they had problems with them ! Sea Ray had to buy a few of them back ! I;m talking about late 90's and 2000 ,2001 , 2002 . Look it up , you'll see .

I would love for you to share a link to this "information"

I've seen articles in Boat U.S. about them , also in The Powerboat Guide ! They have the 380 lisred as a fully cored hull . Check it out !

We like this boat very much, we had a '95 330 previous to it and moved out of it only because we had it for 9 years and I guess we were just ready for a change. We didn't want to go too much bigger, and bought the 360 3 years ago because of the condition of the boat and the deal. We felt that it was a good fit for the two of us untill a retirement boat, whatever that may be. I can't think of anything I dislike about this boat, I do all my own maintennance and I can stand and sit between the engines, which makes getting things done in there pretty easy. I asked the admiral to name something she doesn't like about the boat, and after 5 minutes she said that it's hard to get over the sink in the head to brush her teeth because it is tucked under the cabinet, so there you have it, straight from the admiral's mouth (pun intended), if you can get past that, have fun looking for a 360.

Perhaps you are thinking of the 380AC.
380DA's are not cored...I researched them pretty good when I was buying 3 years ago.

We bought a 360 a year ago and love the layout. My wife, kids, and two teenagers spend alot of nights on her, and we are all tall, but headroom is excellent. I also like the forward berth which is very wide, and my feet don't hang over the edge when sleeping. My wifes favorite - the bulkhead door between the forward berth and cabin so we can isolate ourselves from the kids at night - we go to bed at 9, they are up to 11. Mark knows his 360 as well as anyone out there, and was very helpful to me when i was buying mine. I agree, the sink layout is awkward since it is tucked behind the mirror. I am wrapping up about 6 months worth of projects/upgrades on this boat. I'll post some pictures and write up in the future when everything is done. The most recent engine work is due to the PO lack of maintenance. I had been out of boating for over 25 years when i bought this boat, so I realize now I knew enough to be dangerous during the sea trial/due dilligence aspects. I'll eventually post more on that as well.

Check out " clubsearay.com/archive/indexphp/t-29807html " and read all about it ! I have a couple of friends ( Sea Ray mechanics each with 20 plus years of experience ) that work for Marinemax . And they tell me they have seen some wet cored boats . And yes 380's .

Good luck with the hunt. We have had a 2003 360DA for a year and really like it. Our previous boat was a 2002 300DA. The 2' difference in beam is huge inside the cabin. We like the island berth, with a real mattress and the pocket door is nice for privacy. We did not shower much in the 300, but have used the shower on the 360 alot. The "batman" shower doors are nice for keeping the rest on the bathroom dry. I added a cockpit TV last year, and plan to do some other TV updates this year. Read throught the 360DA thread...there is lots of good info....and Mark (My3sons) is extremly knowledgeable on the 360DA. I have noticed the sink layout, as others have mentioned. Just a preference of mine, but I wish the hot water heater was in the bilge, instead of under the midcabin seat. Have fun searching....

While there may have been wet core 380's the bottom is not cored. Yes there are some years some models that had coring issues.

Generally you will find this on the deck or hullsides, not the bottom like stated earlier.
