What do we do while waiting for Spring?

Scott,
You really need this to go with your kits. It is shown here on wheels, but it also comes with floats. (Grin)

I'll admit, yours does look like more fun. Did you build it yourself?

Fun and interesting when the engine shuts down(Grin)
My dad built it. It was his third kit. He did a great job. I've got it sitting (Engine is pickled) in one of my barns now. I never could get my wife excited about flying so I've pretty much given it up.

I always hate this time of year, especially after football season. Waiting for boating season to commence iis nerve racking. This year we are sitting in a dinkiy two bedroom apartment waiting patiently for building permits to be issues for the construction of our new house. We are hoping that by mid April we are in the new house before boating season really kicks off. If not, then its going to be a challenge to get the boat ready and house at the same time. Wish this dang snow and cold weather would leave soon. So for the rest of the winter I will patiently wait and wait for a break. Also, spending time researching what has to be done to the boat, thinking of upgrading electronics with a new chartplotter. Other than that may check out a few boat shows.

Hey Craig,

Let’s hope we can extend the football season today!

 +1 on extending the season. Let's hope that we don't beat ourselves again this week... :smt021

Even though I live in the south, it's been cold here this winter and we've had more snow than some of our northern friends this year. More snow is expected again this week. Fortunately for us, it melts within a few days.

We are very fortunate that we don't have to pull our boats out and winterize them. Several of us at the marina use the boats year-round. We typically get together once a month, take the boats for a cruise, meet for dinner and sit on the dock with our heaters enjoying an adult beverage or two. We spent six hours New Years Eve on the dock in 20 degree weather. We then spent most of New Years day on the lake cruising around.

The trade off is that we are land locked and can't explore the coastlines and different ports around the states and Bahamas.

Hackavulin,

Looks like we are in the post season play. Woo Hoo. I went to the Pittsburgh game a week ago in Pittsburgh. Very disappointing, but this week was awesome. Glad we made it to post season. I think New England is our first game. Hope we bring the "a" game. Defense secondary still needs work, and Joe needs to learn to pick up blitz's better.

Craig
