What BBQ Grill do you own at home?

Weber Summit at home and a cheap Fiesta at the summer place. I have to admit the Webber is a nicer grill, but it should be for 6 x the cost of the Fiesta.

I'm on my 2nd Weber Genesis. When Hurricane Katrina struck us, I had 7ft of water in my house, with that said I was planning to pitch my 1st Weber Genesis, along with everything that was under water. Well, my best friend, Troy, who is a Firefighter Operator, told me that the NOFD was taking any and all donations for the fire houses. So i said "T, you know this grill was under water, I don't think it will work again." Long story cut short, Engine 26 is STILL USING my original Weber Genesis till this very day, while I bought another one. The original grill that is still being used at the Engine house will be making 17, 18, 19 years old, I lost count...

Mark, Have you decided on what grill after 23 suggestions.

HA! No not yet. I even learned of a few I had never heard of.. A Traeger pellet grill? Too expensive for me and I have no electric available for that one but did look good... I will probably choose from the one you have, to Magstang1's, or to Blaster's choice..... While my current Weber has lasted a long time it had flare up issues and I'm ready to try something new.. Plus while I had a few too many beers I promised my Father-In-Law he could have mine. So kinda stuck now to make a move....

What I like about our unused grill. :smt021

Is the top rack for heating /toasting the buns/bread.

Garlic bread with moz's cheese is the best from the grill..

I have an older Weber Genesis at home that still does a great job after at least 10 years. For our lake place I got a cheap stainless four burner at Lowe's for about $200. It cooks at least as good as the Weber for a third of the price. On the third year and it still looks to be holding up nicely. Always cleaned and covered after every cook.

We do a bunch of fundraising for Relay for Life. We grill up oysters that would knock your socks off. I had this custom stainless one built for that as oysters will kill any normal grill.

I love Webers and currently have a POS CharBroil. I hate it. I'll be getting a S_470 Summit soon. My buddy has it and it's a great grill.

Weber Genesis - the only way to go. Set it and forget it. No flare ups ever. The easiest grill to cook on. I had a hard time parting with $700 (which was 5 years ago) but it still performs. I regularly grill 5 days a week throughout the year so it gets used.

That looks like a good time....

Oh it is. 10 hours of grill amazing oysters and drinking beer for a great cause. The ones in the picture are "jumbo sized" Pacific oysters. We grill about a dozen of the Jumbos and about 60 dozen of the normal. We usually grill the medium to small size.

What do you mean by "oysters will kill a grill". Just moved to oyster country here in SC and planned to grill oysters often.

Pay attention to the grates and "flavorizer bars" (metal covers for the burners). The grills at Home Depot and Lowes come with coated steel. I bought mine at a patio shop near my home and it came with the upgraded stainless interior parts for the same price.

I really can't stress enough how much I like this grill. I clean it with a scraper and the grill brush in the spring and cook on it all season long. This year it took me all of 30 minutes and half of that was beer and BSing time. It's very easy to clean and extremely low maintenance. It just works. And it works like it should. I haven't even had to change the battery in the igniter yet.

I usually don't like it when people give a price range and then everyone suggests things over the budget but I feel it would be wise for you to give the Genesis 310 a serious look.

I re-built my outdoor kitchen and re-installed a Jenn air. Natural gas. POS.!!! I thought it had dirty gas chambers but after cleaning it it's still a piece of crap!! Don't buy this brand if anyone's looking for a permanent grill. It was $1100 4 yrs ago! I'm buying a Bull to replace it. I have a charbroiled cheap grill for the dock. Cooks ok but much better with Weber for portable grills !!!

Weber Genesis S-330 for gas grilling and a Weber 22" kettle for indirect cooking and smoking.

Used to smoke with more elaborate smokers but found I could do just fine with the Weber kettle.

Then get a cheap grill from craigslist or something. The saltwater that comes out of the oyster as you grill it is harsh on all of the grills parts and components. When they get warm they pop sometimes and spray and spit saltwater everywhere.

Get another 3 burner Genesis!!!! Genesis E-310. I love mine. It gets REALLY hot fast and has an extra layer of metal in the cover that acts as a vapor barrier to hold the heat better. They changed the burners from left to right to front to back. This way if you're only cooking a couple of burgers you only need to turn on one side.

Green eggs are great too.....

Hey Wayne, Happy Memorial Day!!! I think I may continue with the Webers. Either the 310 or 330 but I haven't had the time to go out and really see them. Just going on comments here. The new grill took a back seat last couple weeks because my Lawn tractor needed attention and I just dumped unexpected $$$ into my boat this weekend. I also never really see the Webers go on sale..
