What are your Mooring and Storage Costs?

$3500 for the season, $1800 for the winter includes winterizing. This is about midpoint as far as pricing for the area. for the season, i've seen it as low as $70/foot and as high as $210/foot.

I don't want to even see what floridians pay, it's so high that it makes my bowels move.

I'm going to be $130.00/mo for a 30' covered storage on our trailer.

.
It is fenced and access controlled gate

I keep my boat on the Keeweenaw waterway in UP Mi which gives access to Lake Superior. $993 per season last yr. Electricity $27 last year. Currently no phone or TV service. I trailer boat home for winter storage.

Just paid for the 2008 season on the CT river. $2700 for five months and about $1000 for winter storage which doesn't include shrinkwrap.

Dockage fees are $0 behind my house.....in water winter storage....same $0 behind my house.....~$300 for a (1-2 week) short haul in the spring for anual underwater maintenance. High NJ realestate taxes associated with the location...ridiculous....Convienence of having the boat behind the house.....priceless....

We winter store inside heated includes haul out and wash down and summer slip includes, water, electric, and cable TV. All at the same facility, cost is close to $6,500.00 for the year.

WOW some of you are getting amazing deals.

I pay $150, to keep my boat on it's trailer in a secured lot. There is about 6" on each side as far as room not even enough to walk around the boat. Can't do any maint there and no electric to keep the baterries charged.

For a wetslip when I looked it was about $300 a month for my 240 Sundeck.

At an admittedly "rustic" marina on Sebago Lake I pay $1500/season for an uncovered slip for 5-6 months, and an additional $150 for unlimited shore power.

In a separate (non-waterfront) yard, my winter costs are:
$10/foot storage (advertised length, no adder for platforms or pulpits)
$10/foot shrinkwrap
$3/foot bottom wash (On and Off acid)
$200 flat to winterize and wake up all systems in the spring. this includes oil and filters, antifreeze, lower unit, powerwash in the spring, etc. He even hauls it out and launches it for me as well.

Not cheap, but certainly nowhere near the top of what I've read in this thread. Of course, it is a short season up here..........

Cheers,

Bill

$1200, no water or electric. If you want something more upscale about 2000 with cable, electric, pool, etc.

No winter storage tow it home, winterize, shrink wrap and look at it covered with snow all winter.

4.5 months till we unwrap

Happy Holidays
Jack

Just over $5,000 for 40' slip on the C&D Canal in Delaware. Annual contract with option of either dry or wet winter storage. If dry stored, included haul out, pressure wash, blocking, and spring launch.

Unmetered electric, water, basic cable and wi-fi are included. Marina has a pool, good bar / restaurant.

10 cent/g discount on most expensive fuel on the bay.

I think we get a pretty good deal in our area.
The price of gas and the economy in Michigan has caused lower demand and more open slips.
11'x30' slip for $1200.00 with electric and water.
$1200 for indoor unheated storage.

Ive got a sweet deal. $400/yr for a 24 foot covered slip w/ free water and electricity at a private club. You have to buy a lift if you want one. $0/yr for backyard storage.

The local public marina charges $1200 -$1,400/yr for a covered wet slip.

We paid $57.00 / foot for a slip May 1 to October 31, 2007 and $ 135.00 for electric with water included. There is no winter storage in the marina where we are, I have a trailer and always have gone back to our dealer in the fall to have them put it inside, in the rack, which runs about $800. Who knows what 2008 will bring.

I am cringing a little bit as ours 41ft slip was increased from $3,800 to $4,200 for 2008. We are in SW Michigan at a great marina. Nice pool, hot tub, and showers. Water and electricity is inlcuded. Also included is a weekly pump out service at the slip. They installed a system a few years back to provide this service.

Out here in Southern California we pay by the month and boat year round. Current slip is 30'x10' and is $420 per month. Includes electricity and water, toilets/showers onshore ...watch out for homeless folks on your way in. Very limited security. Launch ramp is nearby, $14 per entry. Or lift/launch in the yard is $150-250 each way, for dealer's mechanics only, no do it your self. Diver charges $46 per visit, once per month November-April, twice per month May-October. Dealer labor rate is $150 per hour! Have not bought gas for a while, but I think it was around $5 per gallon in the Marina and $5.25 per gallon on Catalina.

$1650.00/ season, in water, not covered, on channel (Ohio River) electric, water and cable included. Trailer in the lot with unlimitted valet in-out launch sevice. free wash-down bay. nice bath house, members only pool adjacent to one of the best bars/restraunt on the Mighty Ohio.

Winter storage $300.00 in unheated garage with 3 very dusty horses......:smt021
