Just bought this truck, Dodge RAM 2500 Diesel. Should tow the 270 DA just fine.

Update for me - So this year I decided to fab new bunks to make sure the whole stern was supported, even though I did not think there was any big risk, but now I will never need to second guess myself. The pics are right after I floated it on and I had not power washed. I used pressure treated wood, glued two 2"x8" and cut the angle on a table saw. I added a 2x4 flat on the bottom and carpeted with home depot carpet and stainless staples. I am 200 dollars into it but happy with the results.Guys - you are correct in assuming the bunks are a little short. I balenced the tongue weight and the boat ends up a little further back than I would like. It trailers perfectly so I am looking at just extending the length of the bunks by the foot and a half to cover the rest of the stern. I only trailer to begin and end the season and the ocassional repair. I only need to go a few miles so my expedition is only for these short hauls and works fine for this. If I went further I would use something bigger.
