We tied up to a dock at Shell Island and walked over to the Gulf.

I've been to PCB a million times but never been out to Shell Island. Looks like fun.

I went out on the boat today too! I drove it over to T.I.M. for bottom paint, spent an hour on the 430 because the price was just SLASHED (PM if desired).

Then, I dinghy'd over to Shell Island and spent 1/2 hour with Jason, Kim, and Tyler (above). Their boat was indeed at the dock.

EDIT: The dock at the island, that is.

How close were you to the hurricane created sand cut about halfway down shell island when you took this photo? I swear it looks just like the one Judy took a couple years ago.

Ok i got a laugh lats evening when reading this forum after work .Then i got out the grill and did up a couple ny strips and baked taters for dinner and caught myself filleting the potato!!! Oh to hear those engines roar to life:smt089

I went on my boat yesterday too! I went into the driveway, unzipped the door on the wrap, and replaced the Damp Rid bag. Lot's of fun!

John, so what's the story with 43DA, are you getting it? LOL.

Here's the deal: If we were going to upgrade in the next couple of years, we should do it now. That boat's price is slashed sooooooooooooo low that it would be a prime candidate for an upgrade.

Financially, I don't think we can do it. The boat is nearly perfect for us. All of that being said, it doesn't make sense at this time. We really love our 340. Every expense on the 340 is extremely low for a cruising couple, except gas, and that just isn't that bad.

If/when I upgrade to Captain at my job, and kids are all out of college, then we should consider moving up.

As great of a deal as that 43 is, it will still depreciate, and it's still a WHOLE lot of money.
