Has anyone replaced the washer dryer on a 480 dB?? I think the belt has broken but I can’t even reach the back under the stairs. Tried to move it in the stateroom, but it doesn’t. I don’t even think it fits in the cabin door... I could replace the belt if I can push it 8-10 inches into the stateroom.. any help is welcome..

I don't have a 480DB but I dream of one and have followed the 480DB thread. I think people have said that you can get at the back of the washer/dryer and possibly remove it from under the stairs, not thru the cabin.

I have bout a 12 inch access behind the washer/dryer under the stairs but not enough to get in there and open it to change the strap...it’s probably screwed in somewhere and I can’t move it at all... if I can pull it our another 12 inch, I would be ok...

I just removed mine this fall. Piece by piece. Prior to cutting it up, I tried to get it out. Several posts said it would come out under the steps. Nope. The machine is screwed to the floor. I pried the Unit up as much as I could, but there is just not enough room to break the screws loose. There is no back cover to remove also. It is a three sided one piece back.....both sides and the back are all one piece.

It is a job cutting it out. The best tool I used was a sawsall and a grinder with a metal cutoff blade.

Good luck. I found the extra storage space more useful than the Unit

Did anyone not think to reach out to Sea Ray about this?
I called Sea Ray a few weeks ago to ask what material was used to attach the plexiglass visor to the dash on my 2009 330DA and they told me they no longer provide technical support for boats over ten years old.

I didn't call them since I was removing it for storage. My dock has a laundry and we use that. The one time I used my washer, it would not turn off. Twenty year old equipment that the boat was built around....not installed after the boat was built. If someone wanted to completely disassemble the stateroom wall, then it would come out of the enclosure, which would lead to another problem. It does not fit through the doorway.
