Well my gal is now 9 YO and all of it in salt water. Little things are going and need Daddy's attention :smt101

I have a double actuator set up to open and close a windscreen vent. One works one is more than cranky and is frozen. I've got the lube sprayed in to the cylinder and its locked in the full in position so the motor shuts down. it does want to try. :smt038

Anyone know if this ram cylinder is removable to get to the screw to clean out the salt and grease? As you'd expect I'd rather repair than replace if it makes sense. :smt001

Anyone repaired one? Bought one, where did you get it and what was the $$?

Any help will be appreciated. msg me direct at asureyes@aol.com :smt024

I called Warner Electric and talked to a tech to get the replacement ram for my 340 engine hatch... There should be some numbers and letters engraved on the side that they will ask you for...

I needed one for my 290 and found it on eBay. Search under actuator, not in boat parts.

Maybe you will get as lucky as i did (twice), i removed the cover disconected the ram, which apprentily was binding, and once discannected it moved as designed when reconnencted worked fine.

No such luck, I tried mucho penetrant down the ram, while it was still wired, let the lube work for a day and still only intermittent movement but would lock up at the end of the travel. Bought a new one for the outrageous price of $350.00 bucks! But what is the tricky part is it has to be made at the factory, this part is no longer a stock item ... AGH
