Any ideas on removing 20 year old painted lettering as well as vinyl letters from my fiberglass hull?

Easy Off oven cleaner for the paint. Heat gun for the vinyl letters.

We use Easy Off oven cleaner not the scented and a heat gun to remove the letters. DON'T USE A RAZOR BLADE it will damage the gelcoat. Good Luck

okay so what do I clean my oven with and remove layers of paint?
use the heat gun on lowest setting. A hair dryer does the job just as well.

Use a 3M stripe, vinyl lettering, adhesive removal discs. They are 3M #61-5000-7963-9. I have used them for several years and they do a great job. The arbor goes into a drill and they will not damage paint.

I was just reading about vinyl off. Never used it, but curious to see if it works. Supposedly it gets into the adhesive and releases it and allows stripes to be easily removed, even for 20 year old stripes. Anyone have experience, let us know.
