Video of damage to 74′ spencer sportfish that hit a reef and sunk

:wow:

Bummer.

Kind of makes me feel sick to my stomach.

We hit steel pile and put a 5" by 2 foot hole in the boat going 4 knots. To do what they did they must have been going faster.

A new prop, a gel coat repair kit, and sh'll be good as new.

Similar story on CT shoreline - a few years ago "Nino" a 65' vicem sportfish ened up hitting some rocks at speed inflicting similar damage - it eventually rolled and sank - as of last year the salvage was still sitting at Noank Shipyard......

Obviously from the "that'll buff right out" department.

Alex, I'll take "Things That Suck" for $1000 please.

Maybe if you used one of those orbital power buffers.
really would like to hear the Captains story. Just going by the pictures, he earned the fabled "What made THAT seem like a good idea" T-Shirt.
