Vector Imaging

Technographic is another sponsor of CSR. Also curious if anyone has used them as well and if they were happy. Ted, have you gotten a response from Vector yet?

No, I have not. I am going to try to call him in the morning. Thanks for asking.

Can someone post some pics of his work - looking to update and would like to consider someone that is strongly referenced by CSR.

Thanks

Use " Dash Panels" for your search and a good number of threads will come up.
Got this one for Vector there. Scroll down a ways in the thread to see Scotts work. You can find info on other vendor using the same search.

As soon has I put in the new panels and with new Faria gauges (Chesapiake White SS), I will be glad to show the results.

Ted

Ted, what are you doing with the old gauges? I have a few that aren't working. Mark

I was just going to put them in storage. Which ones do you need? I need to make sure everything works with the new gauges. I need to keep the tachs due to recorded hrs.

Your engine hours are always recorded in the ECM computer, anytime you plug in a scan tool it will always tell the true engine hours. The engine hours is typicly one of the first things checked in a pre purchase inspection of the motors, with a scan tool. The hour display on the tach's are just a guide, I would never trust them any way.

You wouldn't happen to know the type of scan tool and part number for these engines. You I would not to purchase one.

Ted, I need at least one oil pressure gauge but I'm not sure if some others need replacement. They were so fogged up with condensation from previous neglect that I couldn't see them very well when I brought the boat home.

I know there is a few of you who are waiting for your panels from Scott. I spoke to him last Friday the 23th to finalize the drawings. I left a couple of emails for him and tryed calling him several times on Thursday and today without any response. If anyone waiting for their panels let me know the last time you spoke to him. I hope he is ok, it is not like him not to return messages.

Ted, I also ordered and paid for my dash panels about the same time you did on November 21st. I know Scott said he was busy and a normal turn around was about 1 month give or take, so I haven't got to excited about it yet. He has a good reputation on this site so I am trusting he will come through. Also the pics show his work look to be very good. I am curious about the new Faria guages you ordered. Could you provide a source to order them from? I was concerned about new guages not working with oem sending units. Thanks

This is what I ordered from Boatersland. The second to last item is the sending unit for the temp gauges. They use a different sending unit. The last item are the led lights to replace the bulbs that come with the gauges. The leds are awesome with the type of gauges that I ordered. I also spoke to Scott today, my order is finished and ready to ship. If I can get my order soon, I'll let you know how things worked out. The temp gauge is the only set of gauges that I see that required a different sending unit than what the sea ray uses with 7.4l mpi (teleflex gauges)

I heard from Scott today and hopefully I will be receiving my panels soon and will be replacing my gauges. I keep the gauges for you. Just let me know which ones you want.

I went all the way and got the Rinda Dynacom Software. It is nice and easy to work with. It has helped me and a dockmate with a few things. I am a little dissapointed by the amount of Data that is harvested and displayed from an ECM-555. Not sure where the limitation is, with the software or the ECM. I have not tried to hook it up to a PCM-555 on a Big Block yet to see if any more data displays. Rinda customer service has been good so far for the couple questions I have had. It is not cheap though.

After a couple of times to the repair shop it may pay for itself. Its then a judgement call.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like the Rinda product and have recommended it to anyone who has asked but as with anything there will always be some areas of improvement to be had and I am never shy about sharing those views. I am definitely looking forward to the next version of software.

Heck, their Scan Tool will pay for itself after one use. Dynacom maybe 2 or 3 times.

Ted, Thanks for the info that is a huge help! Good luck with your install, It's going to look incredible when your done.

Ted, let me know when you have them swapped out and hopefully I'll be able to figure out which ones are bad. Thanks, Mark

I ordered, and paid for, Dash Panels for my 1996 370 Sundancer from Scott @ Vector LED in late November.
I spoke with him by phone around January 10th. He told me to call him back in about 10 days. Last week I called, left messages, emailed... No Reply??? I'm getting nervous!!!
