Charlene and I are going to start ordering parts for our 73. I was looking at West Marine's Web page for a few things. Some small stuff like the missing bow chocks. Also Charlene insists the head work. First. She demands very little. We have the original still and have no clue of its condition.
I am working on a few leads on the binical mount controller for the OMC electric shift. If I can't find a good replacement I may resort to a toggle switch setup for shifting.
But I am wondering who else can I order parts from other than West Marine. I have found O'Reilly's Auto Parts stores can order Marine parts. They have a listing for my transom seal (boot) and even the annode under the transom seal.
Any other ideas would be helpful.
I would like to get as much of the small stuff done in the winter and start the transom job when the weather breaks. That way I gave a good shot of having her in the water this summer. That's a tall task but I still want to try. Functionality and safety first. Pretty her up second. That's the plan
Thanks in advance.
Steve

Look at defender marine, they tend to be a lot less expensive than west. There are plenty of other online resources also.

+1 on Defender and other on-line suppliers.
West Marine used to price match but no more. Their catalog is great for picking items out though.
Just watch on-line as some of them have great prices until they nail you with shipping and handling.
