hello,i have a '81 sundancer 260,anyone know if it came with a filler pad for v-berth to fill in the V ? or maybe a seat pad was used? any thoughts on this greatly appreciated as it is somewhat uncomfortable sleeping with legs falling down in the center:smt100

On my '01, part of the v-berth seatback cushions on each side are velroed in place and can be removed to be used as the filler. Perhaps they used that design in '81, too?

I hear ya with the sleeping - that drove me crazy on our 85 260 DA.

There was no filler with ours either.
It appeared that there was once a slide that crossed the opening from the port side to support a cushion, similiar to the one in the mid cabin. It was missing when we purchased the boat.

We just had the interior recovered so I made a filler supported by two removable cross bars.

What a nice sleeping improvement :smt001

I hope this helps !

Here are photos copied from my restoration post:

Removing the filler cushion allows decent access to the microwave we installed.
