Year of the motor?

Equipped sterndrive?

Power Steering?

Closed Cooling?

I searched 5L on my EPC and came up with 6 different belt numbers that are narrowed down by answering the questions above.

If your old one is in good enough shape to do so, take it to your local auto parts store and match it up. Theres nothing special about the Merc one, except the high price. Is it a v-belt or a 6 ribbed serpentine belt? Some help with the year and boat in your sig line would help us out too. SB

Ditto.

Might be difficult to match the belt in the UK where GM V8s are not too common. True there are many European V8s, but don't know how much in common there is in sizing specification.

Best regards,
Frank

I've had similar situation. WM was no luck. When I found local Merc dealer, likelly he had 3 different computors where each had different software. It turns out that Merc changed the numbering schema and lots of belts don't match. So, I think the best thing is to do what I did, take your old one and brong it to the local Merc dealer.

The number my EPC is giving me based on your setup is:

57-865615Q03 its a 2704MM belt. Its listed at $97.90

The numbers change all the time, thats why I get a new EPC update disc ohhh about every month or so:huh:

Prior to that number I just gave you, I have 6 supersession numbers below it. That belt number has been changed 7 times:huh:

thank you for your help will look up at my dealers for part number i bet it will cost fortune in uk if your is 97.00 us
might getting pattern part if they do one
cheers
