Uuuuuuuuh .......excuse me................. I don't use Pro Polish products

Haha... Maybe we can get some free Pro Polish.

Don't know why I'd want it, though. Their own ad says Starbright (and Dave's arms) are better.

I recently answered a e-mail from Jeff Hammond so I sent him a link to this thread. Lets see if he responds to Dave.

Dave the polish work looks really good.

Richard

Barry also contacted them and they have removed the picture from their email. If you look at your email now you will see it is no longer there. Because of the dynamics of copying the picture and text in my original posting, the picture was removed from the CSR post as well (I really don't understand how that works but my original post had the substituted picture of Pro Polish as well). So I editied my first post to explain that.

The art of advertising.....Create a controversary and.........Marketing 201

We will be talking about Yacht Brite at the water cooler for months to come

Last year I got an email from the Marketing Specialist at KVH Industries asking permission to quote my comments they found on an online forum (not CSR) in their advertising. I told her sure, no problem... and jokingly asked for a t-shirt...or a pen...

Two weeks later I received a really nice KVH embroidered laptop case. Maybe I should have asked for the new HD dish at cost!

Well, thanks to Barry for stepping up, Dave for a super clean boat, and everyone who complained, I got the brush I've been looking for for 3 months and free stuff.

Ok, who's next? I could use some free Magma Grill accessories. Anyone see any of their pics in grill ads.

Thanks Barry! Just placed an order. Love your products, but have never tried Pro Polish.

I guess at this point Dave should be thinking about some commission......

Just spent two days buffing with buffmagic and polishing with pro polish....my arms are tired.

Barry, Ditto, you are a class act. It's businesses that treat customer's like this that I look to cater to as well. Hadn't planned on buying anything, but hey, I'm an impulse buyer, too. So I just put an order in and thanks for the free stuff.

Thanks for taking care of this group!!!

My most sincere complements to Barry. He did nothing wrong yet once he became aware of this thread he replied to the thread and in my opinion he handled the situation with honesty and integrity. Class act!

I sent an email to boattest.com

I am asking you to read what I sent them and their reply. I’ll bite my tongue until the board members have had some time to digest the response. What do you think?

Subject: Shurhold makes boat shine
Hi, WOW, that is one shiny boat.
How much Shurhold did it take to make the boat in the photo to shine like that?
I’d like my boat to shine like that also so that is why I’m asking.

That picture came from Google Images and we used it simply to illustrate the subject of getting a shine on gel coat. Note that we did not say that the shine shown was the result of using Shurhold's product. In fact just this week we took and old boat and used Shurhold products to poish it and we will be streaming that video in a future newsletter -- so stay tuned. They you will be able to judge for yourself how well it works.
