I have a question I hope someone can help me with.
I have a 2004 Searay Sundancer with a Raymarine SL70C. I am not happy with the Cartography on the SL70C (I have the latest C-map updates, but I would prefer the Navionics system).
I have been told that I cannot upgrade just the GPS unit, and that I would need to upgrade the entire system to full SmartCraft. Is this true? (I am an electrical engineer, so a little hacking does not scare me!).
One thin that particuarly bothers me is the way the unit does not "stitch" the various maps toether; it does not switch from one map to another until you actually arrive at the boundary. This gets pretty hair-raising!
