TRUMP 2024

I just read 3 pages of nothing…….didn’t we do this 8 years ago - What’s new other than another election that Democrats are interfering with?

Speaking of the election, tax day needs to be the week before the national election.

“The maximum sentence for each count is four years in prison, which would add up to 136 years behind bars, but as Ms Coates explains, New York imposes a 20-year sentencing cap for this type of offence, with a decision on whether the sentences run concurrently or consecutively left up to the judge.

Given that Mr Trump also has no prior criminal record and the crimes of which he stands accused are non-violent in nature, Judge Juan Merchan could ultimately incline towards leniency and only sentence him to a fraction of the maximum jail time allowed.

Alternatively, the justice could simply choose to place him on probation, with the threat of imprisonment hanging over the defendant in the event that he does not abide by any conditions that are ultimately imposed upon him.

The bigger questions surrounding the hypothetical incarceration of Mr Trump is what kind of Secret Service detail (if any) he might receive for his protection as a former president as an inmate and what would happen if he were to be convicted of a crime but go on to win November’s presidential election nonetheless.

In addition to trying to win a belated second term in the White House, the 45th president is also battling three other criminal indictments in Florida, Washington DC and Georgia and is appealing two further judgements against him in New York that recently required him to post multi-million dollar bonds.

His legal team has enjoyed some success in recent weeks in delaying many of the proceedings against him by subjecting the judges overseeing them to blizzards of motions seeking to have the cases dismissed or postponed.

But, in the hush money case, Judge Merchan has refused to budge, having already granted one delay from its original opening date of 25 March and despite suffering frequent attacks on his integrity from Mr Trump, who also accused the justice’s daughter of political bias, which resulted in a strict gag order being imposed….”

You’re really good at plagiarism. Do you have an independent thought for yourself?

Aren't you the one who constantly asks "did you read the indictment?" I ask because I know you can't answer. You just suckle on the teet of Rachel Maddow (actually I'm not sure that a thing) and repeat her talking points. I took the time to explain the theory Bragg is using, you should be grateful. ;)
Yes I did read the indictment and I didn't need anyone to explain it at all. I read your ultra right interpretation of the fraud charges, I knew you couldn't explain anything without a slant to it.
Looking forward to the evidence I'm sure Trumps 3rd wife is thinking about another revised prenuptial. She had it revised in 2016.

They say Trump falsified records to conceal or aid criminal activity. What is that criminal activity? Shouldn't that be known in order for the defendant to prepare his defense?

Doublewide made these two posts in less than 30 minutes....he's drunk all the time by the looks of it.
Do you remember when Ford pardoned Nixon? A pardoned is issued by the President for any federal crimes committed or suspected of committed. You don't have to be convicted to get a pardon or even charged. Trump gave out pardons to people that had not been charged. That is not new other Presidents have done the same.
The jury will decide Trumps guilt or innocent in this case not the judge or the state attorney. Once a verdict is decided either side could appeal.

Trump should be welcoming this trial if he is innocent. A full not guilty verdict will result in more votes for Trump come November.
Trump has been found guilty twice this year. How would you issue a pardon if no crime was commited? Would a President declare "a pardon is issued to me"? For what? If you did nothing wrong whats to pardon.

Closet Queen funny you didn't post the post I was asking questions of. I'm sure your circle of friends will lend you a hand.

Liar. You didn’t read it. Otherwise you could articulate the underlying crime.

Wait, I think you are Rachel Maddow.

It's a waste of time trying to reason with @Iprof, whoever he is. I explained Bragg's strategy and that it has never worked to him and he labeled me "ultra right". I would have that @Iprof would be grateful to finally understand what he is commenting on. But he is too busy sucking on the teet of the MSM and regurgitating Rachel Maddow's talking points. No original thoughts from him or Bitchybitch.

Bragg's strategy is actually to tie him up in court all summer. No way this case takes any longer than a week or two at most after they pick a jury.

Don't you find it interesting that the NY DA is more interested in this fodder than prosecuting the real criminals they are letting loose in the city? Something just doesn't add up.

Actually, it does add up. The sum is George Soros. That piece of sh!t is behind these trials and the pro-Hamas protests. He is a domestic terrorist.

Why would the judge threaten Trump with prison if he went to his son's high school graduation? This whole thing is rigged.

At the trial Monday, Merchan said he had received requests from Donald Trump's attorneys asking whether he could attend Barron Trump's graduation on May 17, more than four weeks away, at the Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida. The Associated Press said one of the former president's lawyers also requested the trial not be held on June 3 so he could attend his own son's graduation.

As reported by AP, Merchan did not say Donald Trump would not be able to attend the graduation. He commented that it was too early to make a decision.

"It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial," Merchan said.

AP added that if the trial proceeded as planned, Merchan would be willing to adjourn for one or both days.
