TRUMP 2024

Come on Dave…pandemic level gas prices were the result of an unprecedented demand issue.

Prices would have plummeted and toilet paper would have been scarce regardless of who was at the helm.

See you soon.
They were down pre-pandemic. But feel free to go with MSM talking points.

Explain please.

It was a respiratory disease, not a gastrointestinal disease.

Although I guess the cowardly ones shit their pants every time they sneezed. Maybe that explains it.

When I bought my work van in 2019 it was under $50 to fill it. Now it is over $80

I know. I was here, but pointing out an incredibly low swing that occurred during such a weird time is too convenient.

Gas was around 5 bucks a gallon in the mid 2000s as I remember.

The pendulum swings. Pointing fingers doesn’t stop it.

For a minute I forgot that no opposing opinion is tolerated in any thread here.

Out.

Gas prices

Fine…average prices. For some reason, and you’ve probably noticed that gas prices in the southern tier of NY are usually higher.

Either way, it got bad enough that many employees of the company I worked for carpooled for months. I had a three row SUV that was packed every day.

On a side note in support, I travelled to Long Island a few weeks ago and saw gas there and in Jersey quite a bit cheaper than here.

I’m not much of a complainer myself. I tend to ride out the waves.

You and I have talked about our remarkably similar future plans for a simpler life. Riding those waves is a key part of that for me.

The bump in the contract I just got from the village is pissing me off though. LOL

Of course opposing opinions are tolerated. People on both sides can be wrong. Gas only hit $5.00 before 2008 was in the aftermath of hurrican Katrina.

I paid $2.95 yesterday.

When it peaked around 5 bucks a few years ago, I was commuting around 170 miles a day in a very efficient car, but I was still spending $700 a month.

The only people bitching were the hicks who lived 10 miles away and driving gigantic trucks that got 8 miles to the gallon.

You can bitch or you can live.

This is the stuff that worries me more than gas prices. Biden wants open borders. Countries are emptying themselves of their worst citizens and sending them here.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s always been a mess, but totally crazy now. I’m glad I live in the country.

I read recently that over a 62 year period, 12 million people came here through Ellis Island.

62 years.

In fairness though, lots of people are coming here because their country is a mess. Sudan, Indians trying to escape the caste system, lack of opportunity and everything else. Many of the same reasons that our ancestors came here.

It’s outta control though and some very undesirable people are riding that wave in.

Yeah, LEGAL immigrants.

Sleepy the traitor has let in almost 10 million ILLEGALS this year alone.

Damn I’m ready for a few mean tweets again!!!

I paid 3.79 for gas yesterday. This was 87 octane, not premium. I can tell you exactly what gas prices were and when they went up.

May 11, 2019 - 2.99
Jan 1, 2020 - 2.59
January 13, 2021 - 2.47
January 15, 2022 - 3.39

Election was November 3, 2020. October 26th I paid 1.35. December 23rd it was 2.43. February 26, 2021 it was 2.95 and continued going up from there.

Those dang hick farmers and smelly Walmart people ……if only they weren’t around stinkin’ up the joint….amirigt? Pinky’s up!

The fact idiots are more concerned and happy about it that Trump cannot pay the unconstitutional bond is the most worrisome part of the reality. The fact so many are not worried that it is actually against the 8th amendment, and that it is being used as lawfare and political warfare is the worst part of all. This is a dive into communism it is 3rd world politics. And the TDS crowd is happy while at the same time we are being invaded at our border as well. People are just stupid, those are the facts.
Which part is the “communism” in your scenario?
