Trip to Seaside.

Thanks Frank. By then the water will be nice maybe I should just throw them overboard and let the swim anywhere in the bay. :)

Rod,

Thanks and let me know. We are considering Lighthouse as our second choice right now as they have access to the Town that would be cool. But please let me know what you find out about Seaside Park Marina.

Honestly so many places my head is spinning. :)

Thank you to everybody for your help.

I will check... You are right, there are a lot of options. As far as kids are concerned, there is nothing like a pool to keep them busy. You are welcome to fender off my boat (no cost dockage)... I can give you electric and water, but I don't have a pool. I am off Goose Creek. I would be happy to show you around.

Frank is right, that the neighborhood that Lighthouse point is in is not the best, but their pool is very nice. The Seaside Park marina is walking distance to the beach and stores.

Rod, Did you talk to you buddy at Seaside Park Marina?

I just stopped by the marina and talked to John Kleva, 848-992-6085, my friend's father who runs the marina... It is $2 ft for transients. They have bathrooms and showers, no pool... It's walking distance to restaurants, shops and and beach. You will have to buy beach bages for anyone over 12. If you have military id its free. John said he can take boats up to 50', and to call him for availability. It's a great spot and if I was not so close, I would stay there too...

Hey Rod,

I stopped down to Seaside Park Marina yesterday via car as the kids and family wanted to take a trip to the boardwalk. Marina is real nice. John wasn't there but we spoke to the other John that was there and he was very nice. Filled out the transient paper work and he showed us around. We left our cars there and walked to the boardwalk which took all of 15 minutes. Thanks for doing the legwork for us. :)

Alvin, I think you will have a good time there... BTW I think on Wednesdays they have a farmers market next to the marina. Its a lot of fun. There are also fireworks on the beach during the week...

Kids where excited about the trip after seeing the Marina and how close the boardwalk was. :) You going to be around during the 4th and 5th? What Marina are you at?

Ok, you stink. :)
I might meet up with you guys later on at Liberty on Sat or Sunday as my Marina is only 12 miles Liberty Landing. Doesn't look they are doing any raft up yet thought. I will problay head to the Navasink on Saturday if not.

We will be at the near the end of the Toms River on the lefthand side anchored at a place called Windy Cove on the charts... We will be there at around 5 PM to get our spot (on the 4th)... You can join us... Only downside is you would have to go back in the dark or anchor out all night... It is a zoo leaving after the fireworks... We usually wait until the crowd thins out before leaving... I will be monitoring channel 69...

On the 5th we have a play practice party a friends house, so don't know if we will be out on the boat... We might go the beach near you in the morning... We usually hang out on 4th ave in SSP....

Thanks for the invite but since I don't know the area real well and Seaside Park Marina entrance I think we are going to stay at the Marina and watch off the boat there. Our plan is to head out of our Marina at 9am on the 4th and get to Seaside Park Marina by 1pm. Get all the lines and other things setup. Then head out to Silver Bay and hangout there for alittle then headback shower up and relax. Then Thursday head to the beach and boardwalk then head out to explore Barnegat Bay alittle more after. Then the plan is to head back on Friday morning to hang out near Sandy Hook go have diner at Bahrs, then head home.
