Hello everyone,
I hope to find some advice here on my trim pump. It does turn on and hum however there seems to be hydraulic pressure. Yes the reservoir is full haha, I am no mechanic but I did check that much. I also pulled the lines from the rams and was still not getting any fluid from them when running the pump. Does anyone know if this can be fixed?

Test the solenoids. Green wire (grass) is down, blue wire (sky) is up.

Like techmitch said. You have 2 solenoids. 1 is for down, 1 is for up. Such a old school boat saying" Green grass, blue sky" i say that to some people and they look at me funny. Way to go

My bad. Had a brain fart and went straight to the trim tabs.

Troubleshooting the trim system is in the Mercruiser drive unit service manual.
I have the Bravo drive service manual #28 in PDF and can send it to you, as it's too large to post here

Are you talking about the trim tabs pump or the pump for the rams that raise and lower the drive?

Phil, you are 100% correct. He mentioned "the rams", which i didn't even register.

I corrected my post above.

No problem Bill -- I guess you could call the cylinder (that moves the trim tab up and down) a ram ....

If you can hear the trim cylinder pump whirring when you try to trim the drive up or down, doesn't that mean the solenoids are working? The solenoids I've had to replace are when I'd press the switch and get either a clunk and no pump sound, nothing at all or sometimes the pump sound.

I believe that is correct. If motor runs, everything on the electrical side should be OK.

The OP hasn't been back since posting this. I have the manual if he wants it, he just needs to let me know his e-mail. I sent him a PM.
