Transducer for 1978 30' Weekender..help!!

Just bought a 1978 30' Weekender, and looking at depth finders.... wondered if a 'shoot through the hull' transducer will work or not on this boat (they said it won't work on a 'double hull' boat - whatever that is?)...... It is a Hummingbird model if that helps.

Any feedback on this is appreciated. Just not sure if this boat has a 'double hull' or what that even is?

it will work just fine, it is a solid fiberglass hull .....jffacets

I have a 1979 Weekender. Where was your transducer mounted at? How did it worked?

I have a '79 Express and my thru-hull is located on the port side slightly under the front of the engine.
