do you think Biden will drop out of the race so Obama can get Hillary???

I dont' know. At this point, it would be a cheap move, but who knows... It could work.

No. He would look indecisive and disloyal.

It's all about appearances. Especially for Osama.

WTF, when you look at this thread w/o logging in, there is an ad by Moveon.org for free OBAMA buttons!

Whew!!! I am glad you posted this today, Thursday, so I have time to get over being sick by Friday evening, before the weekend starts:smt043.

I do not think he will do this though, but it could be contrived where Biden makes it look like he wishes to withdraw

I hate the idea of it, but this whole election and the option of the two choices running comes down to voting for the lesser of two evils.

I really do not think Obama wants Hillary, unless to clinch the election. If he has Hillary the press is going to say that Hillary is actually the president who is running things ,and being guided by Billy (I did not have sex) Boy

He would be the elected President probaby in title only with the public decrying Hillary as being the true president . I am sure he has already thought about this, if Hillary was selected as his running mate

I'm not so sure. I really believe that there is bad blood between the Obama's and Clinton's.

While watching "on the record" last night, there was a key clinton advisor, and DNC operative that declared she will be voting for and campaigning for McCain.

I would feel more comfortable with Shrillary than either of the two choices of VP thus far.

However, unless Biden decides to "drop out", whether of his own accord or by being ushered to do so without us hearing about it, it would look bad for Hussein.

The conspiracy theorist in me says Obama is having Biden float these trial balloons to see what issues he can use effectively. If enough of them get shot down, it will be more graceful for Biden to step aside in favor of HRC.

.

I heard this, and was not shocked. He is a marionette thus far, with Obama holding most of the strings. As usual, it is time to punish those who have worked hard to become successful to support those that won't help themselves.

Of course, I am always for helping those who can't help themselves, but I suspect that is a small portion of the whole.

I usually see no distinction made by those in charge of our personal finances between the two.

Hillary's Great-great Uncle Remus...

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogical researcher, discovered that
Hillary Clinton's great-great uncle, Remus Rodham, was hanged for horse stealing
and train robbery in Montana in 1889.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows. On the
back of the picture is this inscription: 'Remus Rodham; horse thief, sent to
Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six
times Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

Judy e-mailed Hillary Clinton for comments. Hillary's staff sent back the
following biographical sketch:

'Remus Rodham was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business
empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate
dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several
years of his life to service at a government facility, finally taking leave to
resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital
investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency In 1889, Remus
passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the
platform upon which he was standing collapsed.'

And THAT is how it's done folks!

And this gets back to the basis for the democratic party, and one of the main reasons why I dont' support their party... since when, have you seen ANY government branch manage our money right? Less government messing with things is better government!

I don't see Biden stepping down without kicking and screaming. He's run for president 2 or 3 times, this is what he's worked for his whole life. I just don't see it happening.

In politics, one does not always have the option to step down or not by their own decision. :smt001

No way.

I never for a moment thought Obama would have picked Hillary. Picking Hillary would have been a good, short term move for gaining votes in a general election but in all honesty, she would have been a huge liability once in office. I simply don't see her EVER playing second fiddle to Obama.

To me, picking Hillary would have been a sign of weakness and short term thinking. . . .and I would have viewed it very negatively.

Of course. . .I think McCain's pick equally demonstrated weakness and short term thinking. . .and I also view that pick negatively. Your opinion may vary. . . (which is fine)

There is only one thing worse than a candidate making a wrong pick: And that is CHANGING that pick. It sends all the wrong messages.
