Time for another Bahamas trip!!!!

I'm thinking about the weekend of October 20th. We could take off either Friday the 19th or Monday the 22nd and make it a 3 day event. I'm thinking Bimini so it would be easier for the smaller boats to join us. The 20th would also give everybody a chance to get their boats in order for the trip.

What do you think?

Hi Randy,

Sounds pretty good...The week before the Ft. Lauderdale boat show, and after the start of the Panther's season...Friday to Sunday probably would be better as work wise Monday's are always busy..Let me know what everyone else thinks...and we can work towards it. Where's the best marina to stay at?

Thank you Randy of thinking of us little guys. I'd love to go with ya'll except:
1. I'm chicken
2. I don't think the wife would go or let me
3. My october and beginning of Nov is kinda full right now.
4. I'm still not 100% sure 60 gallons would be enough gas to atleast get me to their closest fuel dock.

What is your rate of fuel consumption?

Well I've been told I should have a range of about 180miles and should be getting 10GPH at about 3000-3500 rpm (30mph) but a trip I did that was 50 miles used half a tank (30gal)

180 would be 3miles per gallon which seems high 50 miles and 30 gallons is 1.6 miles per gallon which seems little low I would think I should be able to get 2 miles per gallon but I'm new to this all so I need to check it out more when I'm out on the boat again.

I would like to stay at Bimini Big Game Club. It has a restaurant on site, rooms for those not staying on boats, a bar overlooking the marina and an activity center right next to the marina. Last time I went, we stayed at the new Bimini Bay Resort. It was nice but i missed the "Bahamas" feel you get with Big Game.

Bimini is 56 miles from Port Everglades, 50 miles from the Port of Miami and 69 miles from Boca Inlet. There is a fuel dock right in the marina. Fuel won't be an issue.

You can follow us over for safety, we do that with allot of boats.

Man I'm green with envy just thinking about the trip. Next year I want to go with you. No way this time. From everything I've heard the Big Game is the place to stay. What port/inlet are you going to be leaving from?

1. I'm chicken
2. I don't think the wife would go or let me
3. My october and beginning of Nov is kinda full right now.

1. - You're only chicken because you haven't done it before and your boat is smaller than some. A very understandable feeling. The cure is preparation and support from others going with you.
2. - Your wife can join us on our boat on the way over and you can follow right behind us in your boat We've done this before.
3. - Clear your calendar for 3 days. The experience will blow you away.

Man This sounds like a blast, I would love to take this new boat out and join you guys, But the trip from Ark. to there pulling this boat would be a killer.
