OK CSR members, we had a great time on our trip to Lucaya and we have a chance to go back before the weather turns bad.

Chad... where would you like to go this time? Bimini? Grand Cay/Double Breasted? Green Turtle?

Barry - when can you go? How much time do you need in advance?

Other CSR members.... let's go!!!

Randy

Hi Randy ... Lemme think on this ... My October is getting really crowded with work life ...

Another????? man am I living in the wrong place.

FYI: Due to passport issuing delays the SD allowed secondary IDs for the summer months so as to not disrupt vacation plans that did not take into account the passport lockdown mandated earlier in 2007. That dispensation is soo to end.

"Effective October 1, 2007, the Department of State will require that all U.S. citizens traveling to and from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda must have a valid government-issued passport. Currently, U.S. citizens traveling to those countries who have applied for, but not yet received, passports can temporarily enter and depart from the United States by air with a government-issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through Sept. 30, 2007. ":wow:

Hey Guys,

I can't go anywhere till after the start of the Panther's season which is October 6th, as my company will be working 20hrs a day up till opening night getting everything done that we need to for them..and of course that's Columbus Day weekend which would be ideal as the Admiral would have no work on Monday..., so for me it needs to be any weekend after that..

I think MM of Pompano has something planned that weekend..
Also the Ft. Lauderdale boat show is Oct 25-28th and I have to be in Orlando for business for one of those days too.

Let me know what you come up with and when and if possible I'll be there.

Atleast you have the right boat, I'm living in the wrong place with a boat that won't get me there! :smt101

At the right time year you could make it to Bimini and back with your boat Morpheus. I've already done some research on it.:smt115 I'm sure some of the guys on this trip have seen 24' boats or smaller doing it during the summer:huh: Whats the smallest boat you all are taken with you on this trip?

I would just have to get past my fear of running out of gas. So far my take as never been less then half full.

1 take full there and a tank back? You really think that's possible? I don't know if the wife would go or not but would be interesting.

So many things could break and with my luck so far I'm sure something would haha.

Still my biggest fear would be to try it and run out of gas before getting there.

Also you say summer but man it's hot out and with only a bimini to cover me I'd actually prefer to go in the fall or winter time when it's not so hot but how is the water going across then?

I would love to do it! BUT, I have a Dripless that has not been fixed yet. Would scare me thinking about possible break down right in the middle of the Gulf Stream. JC

On our last trip (to Lucaya) a 24 foot open fisherman joined us and didn't have a problem. The great thing about going in a group is safety for everyone.

How far from NYC?

Mike, get a quote for getting your transported there. I can't imagine how nice the trip must be. I towed my 240 and cruised Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Naples and Marco Islands. It's very nice there.

Alex.

I wonder if I can make it on my boat? its a 240 Let me know the dates.

Single Engine or Dual Outboards and I image that they probably had bigger gas tanks.
