just registered. anyone going on july 28th?? free t-shirt if you register  problem is you gotta go to marinemax to get it, and the last time i went there with a searay sponsored $25 off coupon, they wouldnt honor it. :smt013

I'm in....see you there....

Hmmmm....double post and I don't know why.. ..and I can't find the delete feature...... :smt100

At last years event, they had several small boats going through the anchored fleet handing out t-shirts and Frisbees and all sorts of other "stuff". We were rafted with 4 or 5 other boats and must have been given 20 t-shirts and countless other "things". Never registered, just showed up!

Thanks for the post. Last time I looked I didn't see tices shoal. I'm regitered now.

Alex.

I will strongly consider going -> but I may have a schedule conflict.

Normally, I don't like the Tices Shoal scene (too crowded); but it is a nice easy ride from my place.

regarding the coupon, long story short...
the parts guy in brick wasnt there, so the cashier person took my phone #,the coupon and my credit card #, stapled it all together, and i took the merchandise ($36 worth of louvers that vent the bilge). she said they'd call if there was a problem but she didnt see why there'd be a problem. i never got a phone call but when i checked my credit card website a couple of days later, i noticed they ran the full $36 charge through and didnt take off the $25. no big deal - i never called them on it but it still irks me. for those of you who have not seen these coupons, they come via email. they DO have an expiration date (i went in 2 wks before that date) and they DO NOT have a minimum purchase amount.

[OT] hmmmm. . . .now why am I not surprised at hearing which dealer did this? I wonder what that dealerships reputation is in general. My opinion is not all that high [/ot]

Hi, Guys I reristered about 2 wees ago. I plan to go to Tices on the 28th weather permitting. We will have about 5-7 boats from Ocean Beach Marina. Hope to see some of you guys at Tices. Will be picking up my 2 FREE Tshirts. I hope this year thy can find Tices and not anchor on other side of bay. :smt013

Hey JOHN,

Hopefully, I'll be right behind you few hundred feet coming from Chandwick Island

Alex.

I will be there.registered on sunday.
i was at silver bay on sunday and i was behind m&m's
was that you john?

ED, I was at Silver Bay both Sat. & Sun. Love to go anchor out R&R. I went in water a little cold but no jellyfish. Nice short run from OBM.

I am in Silver Bay. Although I generally don't do much more in the bay than run from one end to the other on my way to/from somewhere else. . .

. . . .although the admiral nearly put the boat into the trees near near the entrance to mosquito cove last Saturday at dusk while learning how to use the chart plotter.( good thing we were idle speed!)

I was at Silver Bay last Sunday as well. Very nice day. Where do you guys anchor? We usually try to get a spot in the "cul-de-sock" but jetskies are driving us nuts. So, we anchor close to the beach (east side). We're planning to be there this Sunday as well. It's nice not dealling with jelly fish, hopefully they wont stey too long this season.

We should do a raft up some time. It takes me about 3 minutes to get to the cove from the house. . .and most of that time is spend getting out of the lagoon! That area is really good near sunset, once all the boat traffic dies down.

comsnark,
We should be there this Sunday around noon time or so. We'll try the "cul-de-sock" fisrt to see if there's not too many jetskies. I'm easy to spot since I guess, it's the only 240 with dinghy tight up on the swim platform in the area. Come by anytime.

Alex.

Will do!

But don't be surprised if I show up riding a green and white seadoo :smt043

Although the Admiral has been having some neck issues lately -> so I suspect we will be running the bigger craft exclusively this weekend.

So. . . .

. . .people still planning to be 'palooza on this weekend?

The Admiral will be out of town. . .but I will have a few house guests. Might be a good joy ride.

. . .assuming the boat is in the water. I am being Short Hauled on Friday to *finally* deal with my problem child outdrive. I already told the mechanic: "Do what it takes -> use the shotgun troubleshooting technique -> I don't want to haul twice".

This should ensure a maximum possible repair bill. Hopefully, ensuring maximum possible bill will result in the shortest possible time out of the water! :smt101

We are planning on going. This will be our first trip to Tices. Is it all deep water? Anything in particular to look out for? Did you receive the E-mail today. They said they will have boats there by 9AM and to get there early to get a good spot. Dominic (OSD), maybe you could tell me where the "secret spot" is if you are still going.
