I have been thinking of added AC to boat. I would like to add a in cabin unit with two 4" supplies possible under vberth. What do you think? any suggestion? Thanks

This has been discussed much here. It is not cheap nor easy to add after the fact. Do a search and you will find several threads. Good luck, MM

I am very happy with my Mermaid 6500 btu unit, M6, which was installed on my 240DA last July. The unit is very compact and fit into dead space in my mid-cabin (no loss of usable space or storage space). The unit also has a programmable thermostat and reverse cycle heat that works better than I expected. Overall, I am very happy with the Mermaid unit and have had no problems so far. Here is a link to the A/C page from the marina where I had mine installed: http://www.weaversmarine.net/AirConditioners.html

I put a 5000 BTU unit in my boat in spring. I installed everything myself and manged to keep to the total price around $1,500. It did take a few weeks to find everything I needed, just keep a eye on ebay.
