So I was at the boat yesterday hoping my upohlstery guy was going to meet his commitment to deliver my new cockpit upohlstery (which he failed to do AGAIN, but thats another story). I have only recently gotten the boat in a slip so I was doing some organizing and making a list of a few things I needed to get while I waited in vain AGAIN. Anyway, evidently my anchor light and boat hook have been taken.:smt013 I'm pretty sure it was stolen from the boat when I had it stored on the trailer at some family owned land nearby just before moving to the marina. We have had some theives strike there before cutting out wiring from the barn we have there probably to scrap for crack money. So I guess my aluminum boat hook and anchor light is probably in a scrap yard now. So, getting to my question, where could I get another anchor light with the 37 degree bend and I think is 39" tall according to a previous thread I searched? The Sea Ray part # is 731984. Being a 1995 boat I suppose its a long shot that SR has it still? Any Ideas?

Oh man what a bummer... sorry to hear of your loss... don't know if you would have luck checking out perkos web site...

I made my anchor light from canvas prop rods... that reminds me... I have may have a plug in anchor light in my shed that is angled, that may work for your boat... I am not sure about the height, I think its about 30"... I won' t be home until the 23rd, and can check then... I will see if my wife can take a picture of it...

Thanks for the ideas guys. I'll try Perko's site. I was in West Marine yesterday and they don't have anything. Part of the problem is that the light I had was 2 phase. It would shine forward while running with bow nav lights on. Then at anchor, with bow nav lights off it would light the rear side of the pole for a 360 degree shine. Nothing I saw at West yesterday had the 2 phase wired pole. 30" actually sounds closer to the length just going from memory.

It has been my experience that the mast lights do work this way. Both of my boats have had the same setup as yours... I hope perko has what you need I know they made my lights... if not Attwood is another company...

Checked several places suggested and nothing so far is going to be an exact match. And sorry for the lack of terminology before.....it is a masthead/anchor combo. The only angled bent ones I saw were angled near the top of the pole, mine was angled near the base. Anyway, I think I'll either have to fabricate one as suggested, or change out the base socket I have to one of the fold down types like this http://perko.com/catalog/category/navigation_lights_under_20_meters/product/837/ . I don't think this particular one is tall enough but surely there are taller ones made. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Boating is expensive enough without a theft factor. On the bright side (no pun intended) at least I have an excuse to upgrade to LED bulbs!

Can't help with the anchor light but thieves do suck. Yesterday when I arrived to work on my rental house that I have been rehabbing, I found my aluminum storm door gone. Damn crackheads and the scrap yards that keep them in drug money.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I think this economy has really escalated this petty theft stuff too. Its really been killing me this year with the things that have been picked off out of my barn. $50 here $100 there is adding up fast. As bad as it sounds, if they are going to steal and destroy my stuff, I wish they would go BIG so I can at least make an insurance claim. Right now its like standing in a hill of fire-ants.:smt013

The OEM light was most probably a Perko. I have had to replace one like you are describing, with an offset to clear the radar array, and it was a standard Perko item, but it may have been in their OEM listings. If you find it there, and they hiccup on selling you direct, just tell them your Sea Ray dealer asked you to call them directly.

IF you're thinking about replacing the light all together... how is the glare at night? Does it bother you? If so, maybe consider changing things around a bit and moving the light to the aft, starboard corner of the boat. The downfall is that you would have to put it up and down when you wanted to use it, but then it would, of course, be stowed away when not in use. Most, if not all, smaller cruisers have gotten away from the combo light you have because of glare, in favor of non-glare, removable pole light. Just a thought.

Oh, along the lines of what Frank said -- Perko used to (may still, haven't checked recently) have two different catalogs online. One was a PDF and one was a "web" catalog. One of them was a full line catalog, the other didn't have as much stuff in it. Finding the full catalog may help, too.

The glare hasn't bothered me, and I did do a good bit of night cruising this year. It was at least 24" above the top of the windshield. My boat doesn't have a radar arch, so I'm not sure if array clearance was the purpose of the bend. I figured the bend was meant to clear the steeper angle of the canvas/eisenglass between the windshield and bimini top when it is zipped in. I've got a line on a possible exact replacement right now. If that doesn't pan out, I think a hinged fold down replacement would be the way to go, if I can find one at least 24" to 30" tall from the top of the windshield.

Also relocation would be problematic. At the aft of my boat, space is at a premium with my magma grill in the rod holder on the starboard corner and the worry with some tipsy buffoon using it as a grab-rail by accident one night.

Heh. . . I have a stern pole light (removable), and I worry abou the tipsy buffoons all the time! Especially coming back from dinner when I have the boat backed into a slip at the eating establishment.

I have a spare one in my garage. It was from my 260. Let me know if interested.

I know this thread is 5 years old and a long shot. But any chance you still have that light?

My 94 Sun dancer is missing its 2 way (navigation/ anchor) mast head light.
