How would we weight the stake...if I have 1 acre and the next guy has 500 is his vote more powerful than mine?

I think a lot of people would surprise themselves with what they could do...if they had to in order to eat.

True. A long time ago, when I was a kid, everyone had a vegetable garden and a few chickens. We had a small farm with cattle, sheep and pigs. You value your food when you grow it, kill it and butcher it. But we all must eat. I live in a rural area with many small farms and market gardens. There is joy in growing things and there is much to be admired in those few that are still self-reliant.

No 'weighting' aside from having skin in the game. When you don't pay taxes and don't contribute anything to the support of our gov't then why should you get a say? What difference does it make to someone that doesn't pay taxes if they raise taxes by 300%? Would likely benefit them cause they are likely getting 'free' stuff because of those that are paying the taxes

You can blame the Republicrats for that. They keep taking people off the income tax rolls. And then they still get pummeled by the Dems for favoring the rich.

It doesn't matter where you live, corrupt politicians pander to the wealthy. They are not accountable to the people that believed the bullsh*t they campaigned on to get elected. It doesn't seem to matter which version of crook we elect because the outcomes never change. Quietly accepting that year after year is truly stupid. And having a bunch of moronic Bozos attacking your Capital only makes things worse. Same in Canada, azzhole "truckers" protesting vaccinations as a violation of their "freedom"? Stupid fukkers were asleep when our true freedoms were sold off years before to the transnational corporations that control all politicians and the planet. Do you ever see a retired politician that isn't wealthy?

I wasn't talking about growing a garden, more about just doing anything/something or you don't eat, like those immigrants do.

When you have to worry about enough to eat you'll work.

What's so special about knowing immigrants? i know plenty, most legal and they are more pissed off about Biden's open boarders than any natural born Americans I know. They took the time to go through legal channels to get here at great personal cost.
 
Immigrants? I am the only 55 year old white American male on my team, one of few in my company.
