The world is getting stupid

The world is already arrived at stupid. I got banned from social media for the attached meme because they flagged it as false information because they claim there is no proof Dostoyevsky ever stated this.
Love it …… just posted it 7 times on Twitter ….. can’t wait

It figures the same boys would think this way. The United States is not investing nearly as much in human capital as other developed countries are. As a result, its comparative advantage is falling well behind. For example, U.S. students' math skills have remained stagnant for decades. This means the U.S. is falling behind many others, such as Japan, Poland, and Ireland, which have greatly improved. In fact, U.S. test scores are below the global average, with the U.S.A. now ranking at 27th compared to other OECD countries. Defund schools so you can spend more billions more on incarceration? 'Cause that's been working so well.
Well when schools are forced to pass students with at least 21% then those are the results. Yep, wifes school administration says if they were over 20% during COVID then they passed. Currently the threshold is 50%. So if they are at 50.1% they pass. This is what the democrats are pushing here. We have parents who cave in to their kids and get an IEP that says they don't have to do any work. She has 1 student that is permitted to carry 2 cell phones at all times and use them any time she wants because her parents got an IEP. Another kid stabbed a kd in the nexk with a fork and the fork was sticking out of his neck. Kid got 1 day suspension and police were not contacted because the kid had an IEP. There are kids with IEP's saying they can sleep when they want. Others have IEP's that say all tests are multiple choice and all but 2 answers are crossed off so they have a 50/50 chance. This is the stuff democrats are pushing. So you are right in that kids are less educated but you are wrong for the reasons.

Apparently you offended the imbeciles. How ironic is that?

The beginning of the end for kids getting an education in US schools was when parents started the "Time Out" bullshit and schools put counselors in the school.

Sure, let's throw more money at it. That has worked so well in the past. OR perhaps they should concentrate on teaching math and science instead of courses in how to avoid hurting anyone's wittle feewings.
Bingo. We're also busy teaching our kids to be racists.

The beginning of the end was when society began to value the opinions of Marxist, neo-liberals, teaching in university departments of Education, Sociology and Psychology. These are not-science based disciplines so any popular theory there, will be accepted as a fact.

This consensus often contradicts reason and common sense. My favorite "theory" (nonsense) that seems to be instituted but has no evidence to support it, is "intergenerational trauma." My Dad was a WW2 army vet who suffered undiagnosed PTSD. Do I get PTSD "intergenerationally"? No, because I never experienced what he did. No free pass for me if I fly into a rage. No excuses. I'm an adult. Get some help. Same if you are black. You were never a slave or treated as one. Yes, discrimination exists but life is not always fair, just or right. Deal with it. Change it.

We are not equal, as much as Marxist Sociologists would like us to be. Men are distinctly different from women. We have penises, different hormones and chromosomes. Our brains are different. That is all science-based fact. No, you cannot choose your fuc*ing gender. You have a penis or a vagina.

We are not equal because some people are more intelligent, capable and proficient than others. I.Q. matters, as does hard work. You are one of 8 billion people and the cream rises. Fact, not inequality. You may just be a loser. Business and society should never be forced to reward losers because of an arbitrary notion held in a failed, social-engineering quota system. Merit and effort will eventually be rewarded whether you are black, yellow, white or green, male, female or if you have chosen "other" as your gender. Be exceptional, not a cry-baby. That is not priviledge. It's how any efficient system works best.

Parenting: please don't reason with 3 year-olds. Their brains are not-fully developed so they are as intellectually capable as your dog. They understand hierarchy, authority and power, just as your dog does. Use those things. My Dad, a Sargent in the Army, knew that reasoning with unreasonable teen-aged boys was a fools mission. I knew that he was big, strong and capable of killing me in two seconds. He never abused me or hurt me but I certainly knew who the Alpha was. When I was 16, rebellious and imagined I was tough, my arm was instantly locked and he asked "Are you sure you want to do that?" Just a calm, rational question.

I respected my parents, teachers and police officers because I was taught that any "rights" or consideration that I was given flowed from my respect, responsibility and accountability: if you want to be treated as an adult, act like one. No one tolerated unacceptable behaviour so it rarely happened. No time outs, no excuses accepted. You lost rights and privileges. If young people cannot be reasoned with, they will eventually understand that the hierarchy exists and that they depend on it.

Rules and laws exist so our society can function. Unless proven abuse exists, public institutions charged with educating our kids should be able to impose discipline without fear of intervention by upset, irresponsible parents or by other institutions such as Children and Family Services. It and our Courts are staffed and counseled by university "educated" Sociolologists and Psychologists. They have been conditioned by Marxist universities to believe that every kid behaving badly has a right, a logical reason or defensible excuse. No, some kids have sh*Itty parents that have allowed their kids to evade the consequences for poor behaviour. They have trained their little darlings to believe they are special and that laws and social norms need not apply to them. That neo-liberal attitude pervades the system. It may also be that your kid was born a rotten little bugger that deserves immediate and effective punishment. Not an intervention.

We compete in a global economy. Kids in Taiwan, Korea and China know that math, language, business and science skills are essential. They are too busy studying those things to worry about equity. They know that success is earned through hard work and straight A's, regardless of gender, color, social status or affliction. If you are a student with "ADHD" or gender disphoria and fail, you didn't make the cut. No concessions. Too bad for you. The rest move on. That's reality. Our imposed notions of social justice only hold us back and weaken our economy. Merit and success affords privileges. In global commerce and social attainment we are losers because when the ball came toward us, we looked away.

Not popular but to be a good parent it should be mandatory that you must have effective training and then you must pass a skill-testing exam to prove that this priviledge is warranted. Same for voting. Stupid people should not be voting or having kids. My son-in-law noted that the smart, successful couples may have 1 or 2 kids. Meanwhile, the stupid ones have 5 or 6 and they could well be another family dependant on our social supports with no contributions. That fact dilutes the competence and capabilities of our entire society and it also handicaps our democratic system of government.

Before some social justice warriors jump to the defense of the "underprivileged" I will provide one observation: many immigrants arrive with little or nothing. In one generation, they are in successful businesses and able to provide a useful education to their kids. That is achieved through sacrifice and hard work. Not through the perpetual complaining and excuses of the usual minorities that are native-born.

I think you are describing communism

Not at all. Democracy depends on an informed population with critical thinking skills, making good decisions. Information economies depend on an intelligent, skilled, productive workforce. That does not result through Marxist ideology, as I said earlier - if you would read. And perhaps you have six kids?

Great, but guess what. Guess who paid for most of their,... well we'll just call it, "easy loans for immigrant's bill".
i.e. liquor stores, 7elevens, mini marts/gas stations, smoke shops, dollar stores, parking lots, AAA tow/flat bed trucks (check the prices on a good one),... and that is really, "just to name a few".

It used to be that the weak or the stupid rarely survived long enough to procreate. Then as life became safer due to "civilization", their genes were unleashed upon an unsuspecting society. That's where we are today.

Surely an oversimplification, but I believe this is the inevitable outcome of any society. I'm a big fan of removing all the warning labels and letting Darwin sort it out.

It's all good by me. They will do the stuff we need done but will never do ourselves. I was watching legal immigrants harvesting our vegetables near Yuma. Bent over all day long beside conveyors and loading the trucks. I've done some tough jobs but never that. I couldn't last an hour.

Used to be that you had to own property to be able to vote. Maybe we should have stuck with it. Buddy Brown says it in his youtube videos...those with no stake in the game are making decisions for those that have a stake in the game
